Background

Luo Zhixian was the senior brother of Li Yujun under the previous Nine Heavens Vein Master. Their master was killed by the traitor Li Qingyu, beginning Luo Zhixian's long-standing enmity with him. Despite this history, Luo explicitly told Chen Qing that Li Qingyu was his grievance to settle, not a burden for his disciple to inherit. 267 376

As Wanfa Peak Master, Luo became one of the Tianbao Supreme Sect's foremost Spear Dao experts. His reputation extended throughout Yan Kingdom, where he was regarded as a Grandmaster who had dominated the spear path for decades and whose past battles left enemies deeply wary of him. 265 280 411

Luo met Chen Qing while fishing at Bibo Pond. Rather than offering a conventional apprenticeship, he offered the Ten Absolute Spear Arts and two spear-related Supernatural Skill Secret Techniques on one condition: Chen Qing must someday challenge and defeat him with his full strength once his Spear Dao had matured. 265 Chen Qing initially became Luo's registered disciple, receiving his instruction in the spear path despite the political divide between the True Martial and Nine Heavens Veins. 267 270

When Chen Qing and Deng Ziheng were ambushed at sea, Luo personally intervened. He defeated the attacking True Origin Realm experts, then proceeded to Swallow's Nest to settle the matter directly, declaring that those who harmed his disciples would pay the price. 280 281 He later passed the Ten Absolute Spear Arts to Chen Qing after confirming the latter had condensed the True Martial Spear Intent. 286

Luo continued to guide Chen Qing through advanced spear cultivation, including the nature of Spear Intent, Domains, and the difficulty of fusing multiple intents. He also imparted the great divine ability Wind Snow Hidden Dragon's Roar after judging Chen Qing's foundation and Spiritual Sense sufficient. 351 416

During the conflict at Red Sand Town, Luo confronted Di Cang, Chi Lie, and Li Qingyu. He unleashed a Four-layered Spear Domain and defeated Li Qingyu, but suffered catastrophic injuries from Li Qingyu's final malevolent attack. Luo used the last of his strength to carry Chen Qing away from the battlefield before succumbing to his wounds. 435 440 441 442 443

Luo Zhixian was an elderly man usually dressed in plain gray robes, with gray-white hair and beard. He carried himself with the rigid, upright bearing of a spearman even when appearing outwardly unremarkable. 265 359 411

He was reserved, disciplined, and largely detached from factional struggles within the Tianbao Supreme Sect. However, this detachment did not extend to his disciples: he personally avenged attacks on Chen Qing and made clear that harming his disciples carried consequences. 280 281 327

Though stern, Luo gave practical guidance beyond cultivation. He advised Chen Qing to build good connections and leave room for future allies, arguing that a martial artist who fights alone too often will eventually accumulate too many enemies. 412 He also quietly used his standing to create opportunities for Chen Qing, including forming a connection with the Fei family after rescuing them. 412

Feng Shuofang personally bowed three times before Luo's coffin, while the Sword Lord of Jiuli City sent his disciples Ling Han and Su Cheng to pay respects. 447
