Solim abruptly rose to his feet. Lightning flickered in his eyes as he stared at Rayne, clearly suppressing his fury. In a low voice, he said, "Whether it's the Storm Temple or the Storm Plane, only I can control them. They can never be handed over to you."
Rayne frowned slightly. Solim's reaction was more intense than he had expected.
Is the Storm Plane really that important?
It seemed Solim valued the Storm Plane even more than the Divine Fire.
After thinking for a moment, Rayne proposed, "I can designate a territory large enough in the Material Plane and guarantee that it will be rich in resources and immensely valuable. It can be entirely autonomous for the giant race. You could even establish a Giant Country there as compensation for losing the Storm Plane."
That was an extremely sincere offer.
However, Solim only hesitated briefly before shaking his head and refusing again. "No territory, no matter how good, can be exchanged for the Storm Plane."
"Is there really no room for negotiation?" Rayne asked seriously.
"The Storm Plane is the most important sacred land in the world to giants, especially to us Storm Giants. It means everything!" Solim shook his head firmly. "This plane contains the heritage left behind by our ancestors, including countless secrets. To defend it, the Storm Giants are willing to pay any price."
"Without the Storm Plane, the Storm Giants will have no reason to exist!"
The Titan Elder said loudly, "Besides, once the invading enemies are eliminated, I will begin the process of becoming a god, just as my lord Anheroz did. I will reactivate the Storm Temple and turn it into my Divine Kingdom."
"If I cannot control the Storm Plane, no giant will support me."
"Your Majesty, please forgive me, but I
