Rayne left the Forge Temple and went to Athina's home.
Athina was talking with her mother and younger brother about her experiences over the years. Medith was both worried and relieved, while Boros listened with rapt attention, his eyes repeatedly turning toward the Extreme Warriors standing in the courtyard. He wished more than anything that he could accompany his sister to the Material Plane.
As he wondered how to broach the subject with his sister, he saw the Extreme Warriors suddenly bow in unison.
A figure wearing a crown walked in.
"Greetings, Your Majesty!"
Medith hurriedly rose and went outside to welcome him. Boros also respectfully called out to him, awe showing in his eyes as he looked at Rayne, along with a hint of unease.
When Rayne had first visited their home, Boros had given him a cold reception, believing that this human had lured away his sister.
How could a human possibly be worthy of a Storm Giant?
Now, he no longer dared think that way.
Over the years, his sister had frequently sent messages home, mentioning Rayne almost every time. This had given the mother and son a fairly deep understanding of the Material Plane and Rayne's many achievements.
The man standing before him was the emperor of the Aurelian Empire!
His wisdom, achievements, strength, and status had already placed him at the pinnacle of the Material Plane. Even Elder Sorim fell short of him. The crisis facing the Storm Giants and the temple now required his salvation.
"We're family. There's no need to be so formal. Just call me Rayne."
Rayne smiled warmly. As he walked in, his body grew until he was about the same height as the Storm Giants. He then sat down beside the table.
Boros hurriedly brought him a glass of fruit
