Ch. 400Level Ten Wizard

Rayne fused with the Behemoth's Demon Soul, gaining Level 10 Strength and powerful new abilities while his Extreme Warriors grew stronger through Primarch Symbiosis. After stabilizing, he took two dragons through a Portal to the Floating City to resolve their matter.

  • Rayne fused the Behemoth's Demon Soul with the World Tree, advancing his Body of Steel to Level 4 and his Strength to Level 10.
  • Rayne tested Level 5 Berserk and found that the Will of Truth kept him clear-minded, then discovered the Behemoth Claws could mark his steel body and slice through tough metals.
  • The Extreme Warriors felt Rayne's improvements through Primarch Symbiosis, and the five squad instructors advanced to the Legendary realm.
  • Rayne told the Extreme Warriors to train for an upcoming battle, then met the two dragons and Butler Fabian on the castle balcony.
  • Rayne opened a Portal to the Floating City and led the two dragons through to resolve their matter.

Ch. 401Reunion with the Thunder God's Hammer

Rayne returned to the Demon Capital with Igon and Galadros, stored their treasure in the Wezelan High Tower, and secretly exchanged Elements with Osiria. He then traveled to the Dwarven Underground Fortress, defeated the Night Goblins, and began unlocking the Thunder God's Hammer.

  • Igon and Galadros deposited their treasure in Rayne's warehouse and Alchemy Room, and Osiria arrived before the gold could be moved.
  • Rayne and Osiria exchanged Elements through their Soul Pact, while Igon and Galadros remained unaware of their secret communication.
  • Rayne sent Igon and Galadros to his castle, then traveled through an underground river to reach the Dwarven fortress.
  • Rayne killed the Night Goblins in the eighth-floor cavern with the Thunderbolt Hammer and absorbed their souls.
  • Rayne opened the fortress treasury, found the Thunder God's Hammer still there, and recited its unlocking spell as golden electricity appeared on its runes.

Ch. 402Thunder God's Hammer in Hand

Rayne claimed the Thunder God's Hammer by imprinting his soul on it, then learned its powers and tested its control over lightning, weight, and planar travel. He flew out of the treasury and emerged above Longshande with his new weapon.

  • Rayne endured the hammer's lightning and used Lightning Form and Soul Power to imprint his soul on it.
  • The Thunder God's Hammer accepted Rayne's imprint, stopped its lightning, and obeyed his commands as an extension of his body.
  • Rayne learned the hammer's spells, Thunder God's Wrath, and its ability to alter its weight using Void Meteor Steel.
  • Rayne tested the hammer's variable weight and flight, then decided to leave the Void Meteor Steel hidden in the forging platform so the hammer could return to the treasury if he died.
  • Rayne used the hammer to travel through the Ether Plane and appeared high above Longshande.

Ch. 403The Most Familiar Stranger

Rayne returned to Longshande and visited his family after nearly two years away, finding them healthy but distant from the legendary figure he had become. After dinner and a conversation with Briset about his training, Rayne was summoned to the Duke’s tower.

  • Rayne used a Portal to reach his family’s villa in Silver Star District and discovered that Transcendents were secretly monitoring the household.
  • Maril welcomed Rayne home, and Rayne reunited with his parents, Bard and Malinda, and his younger siblings Briset, Cadilo, and Kacy.
  • Rayne learned that Briset had recently become a Transcendent and promised to provide him with suitable Demon Souls after each Soul Ascension.
  • Rayne shared dinner with his family, heard Bard describe his plans for the ranch, and recognized that his family had grown wary and distant because of his extraordinary rise.
  • A High Tier Wizard arrived and told Rayne that the Duke requested his presence at the tower.

Ch. 404The Reluctant Count

Rayne left his family to meet Duke Silverstar, whose protection had kept them safe while he was away. After discovering he had become a Legendary Wizard at twenty-two, Silverstar regretted sending him to another master and invited him to sit beside her, leaving Rayne wary of her intentions.

  • Rayne said goodbye to his family and told them to find him in Glamorgan if they ran into difficulties before leaving through an Any Door.
  • During the carriage ride, Rayne asked the High Tier Wizard about his family's safety and learned that Duke Silverstar had protected them from harm.
  • Rayne used the Soul Eye to estimate that Duke Silverstar was a level 23 Myriad Spirits Wizard.
  • Duke Silverstar noticed Rayne had become a Legendary Wizard before his twenty-second birthday and realized he had broken Kailstone's record.
  • Duke Silverstar regretted sending Rayne to become Ansiwodoss's disciple, then invited him to sit beside her.

Ch. 405A Woman Three Hundred Years Older Embraces a Gold Mountain

Rayne rejected Duke Silverstar’s attempt to charm him and agreed to join her planned attack on Loki’s followers in Majros in exchange for twenty percent of the spoils. He returned to Demon Capital to prepare for the operation, which was scheduled to begin within half a month.

  • Rayne resisted Duke Silverstar’s charm spell and used Roger’s name to redirect her flirtation.
  • Duke Silverstar revealed that she planned a long-range strike against the Dark Sun and Shadow Blade in Majros, strongholds of the Deceiver’s followers.
  • Duke Silverstar asked Rayne to bring his Extreme Warriors to help clear the city’s many enemies quickly.
  • Rayne negotiated for twenty percent of the spoils, and Duke Silverstar agreed to cover the warriors’ expenses and accept his terms.
  • Duke Silverstar told Rayne to prepare for the operation, and he returned to Demon Capital through a public Teleportation Array.

Ch. 406Curse of the Thunder Hammer

Rayne returned to Glamorgan, rewarded Fabian for his service, and reunited with Osiria. After revealing that he had obtained the Thunder God's Hammer, he learned that Osiria believed its curse was real, though she refused to explain how she knew; the chapter ended with Rayne asking her for advice on choosing a new Arcane Arts spell.

  • Rayne returned to Glamorgan and doubled Fabian's salary, promised him port dividends, and offered him land and a knightly title.
  • Osiria visited Rayne in his bedroom, and the two spent the night together before discussing his trip to Longshande.
  • Rayne showed Osiria the Thunder God's Hammer and explained how he had obtained it at Ironbeard Stronghold.
  • Osiria warned Rayne that the hammer's curse was real, but she would not explain why she knew.
  • Rayne reassured Osiria that the Will of Truth would protect him, then asked for advice about choosing a new Arcane Arts spell.

Ch. 407Superb Arcane Arts

Rayne considered which Fifth Circle Arcane Art to obtain from the Key of the Gate, weighing Temporal Shockwave, Void Chains, and Mirror Image. After Osiria suggested he could choose the other spell when the Key reached the Sixth Circle, Rayne chose Mirror Image.

  • Rayne asked Osiria for advice on choosing a rare Arcane Art with the improved Key of the Gate.
  • Osiria recommended Temporal Shockwave, Void Chains, or Mirror Image because Rayne already had strong defenses and offensive abilities.
  • Rayne compared the three spells and ruled out Void Chains because he already had alternatives for its uses.
  • Osiria suggested that Rayne could choose one spell now and the other after the Key of the Gate reached the Sixth Circle.
  • Rayne refused to roll a die and chose Mirror Image.

Ch. 408Eerie Mirror Image Spell

Rayne gained the Mirror Image Arcane Art and discovered that his clones could think and act independently, though their prank frightened Osiria. After advancing to the Legendary tier, he accepted that Wizerland required him to take a Wizard Tower and chose the one beside Osiria’s.

  • Rayne opened the Key of the Gate, obtained the Mirror Image element, and created five independently acting clones.
  • Rayne and his clones startled Osiria by surrounding her naked, so she teleported away and returned after the clones disappeared.
  • Rayne visited Ansiwodoss, who recognized his advancement to the Legendary tier and told him to choose a Wizard Tower and take students.
  • Rayne agreed to Wizerland’s obligation and chose the vacant tower beside Osiria’s, then began a lesson with Ansiwodoss.

Ch. 409Sonic Flight

Rayne’s enhanced comprehension accelerated his magical progress, and he helped the Extreme Warriors tame more Fire Dragons before using Thunder God's Hammer to test his flying speed. He raced toward the Supreme Mountain after sensing the marker on the Golden Three-Headed Dragon, hoping to confront it and reclaim its stolen treasure.

  • Rayne told Ansiwodoss that Emilith had tamed three Dragons and was gathering her army, then left without telling him about Thunder God's Hammer.
  • Sikarius asked Rayne to let more Astartes join the Extreme Legion, but Rayne postponed the decision until he had Marius's consent.
  • Rayne and the Extreme Warriors found two Fire Dragon nests and returned to King Kong Fortress with seven more mounts, bringing their total to thirty.
  • Rayne sensed that the marker on the Golden Three-Headed Dragon had moved and opened a Portal toward its location in the World Mountain Range.
  • Rayne flew with Thunder God's Hammer, broke the sound barrier, and headed toward the Supreme Mountain.

Ch. 410This Dragon Is Just Too Steady

Rayne located Borchi’s hidden lair and ambushed the Golden Three-Headed Dragon with Thunder God's Hammer, breaking through his Holy Light Barrier. Borchi recovered from the blow but began looking for a way to escape as Rayne confronted him.

  • Rayne followed the metal marker to an unremarkable mountain hundreds of miles from Supreme Mountain.
  • Rayne entered the Ether Plane, crossed the mountain’s projection, and returned to the Material Plane inside Borchi’s lair.
  • Rayne struck the sleeping Borchi with Thunder God's Hammer, shattering his barrier and wounding him with lightning.
  • Borchi recognized Rayne, demanded to know how he had found the lair, and threatened him.
  • Rayne saw that Borchi was considering retreating despite his fierce display.

Ch. 411Intense Struggle

Rayne fought Borchi, a powerful Golden Three-Headed Dragon, and used his Mirror Image clones and warhammers to overcome him. After knocking all three heads unconscious, Rayne opened Pet Taming Master to tame the dragon.

  • Rayne recognized Borchi’s strength and mocked him for bluffing about fighting while looking for a way to escape.
  • Borchi attacked with three kinds of dragon breath, but Rayne used his defenses and the Ether Plane to make it seem as if he had endured the assault unharmed.
  • Rayne summoned five Mirror Image clones and attacked Borchi with spells and warhammers, while Borchi fought back with Holy Fire, dragon breath, and shadow magic.
  • Rayne and his clones located Borchi through the Shadow Curtain and kept interrupting his spells with a sustained barrage of attacks.
  • Rayne used a Stasis Field to immobilize Borchi, and the clones struck all three heads at once, knocking him unconscious.
  • After the Mirror Image clones vanished, Rayne opened Pet Taming Master to tame Borchi.

Ch. 412True Dragon Mount

Rayne failed to tame the intelligent Golden Three-Headed Dragon, Borchi, and used a Soul Binding Collar to force him into submission. After Borchi recovered, Rayne left the lair riding him as his new mount.

  • Rayne realized the Pet Taming Master could not target intelligent Dragons and decided he needed another way to control Borchi.
  • Rayne restrained Borchi with Thunder God's Hammer, deciphered the Soul Binding Collar, and forced the Dragon to reveal his true name.
  • Rayne bound Borchi's soul with the collar and warned him against resisting, though Borchi continued to harbor hatred.
  • Rayne let Borchi keep his hidden treasure, then opened a Portal and promised he could revisit his old lair.
  • Rayne told Borchi to call him Boss around outsiders, then rode him into the sky as his true Dragon mount.

Ch. 413Four Dragons Meet

Rayne brought Borchi to King Kong Fortress and then Glamorgan, where Borchi met three other Dragons and received an offer of new equipment from Lady Shalanwe. Rayne later summoned Habu to buy Demon Souls for the Gunwing Knights, and asked how many Gray-Striped Sword-Horned Antelope Demon Souls he could provide.

  • Borchi arrived at King Kong Fortress with Rayne, where he and Tyrien set aside their old feud after learning they both served Rayne.
  • Borchi saw that King Kong Fortress had more than twenty Extreme Warriors and learned that Rayne's forces numbered sixty.
  • Rayne took Borchi to Glamorgan, where he found Lady Shalanwe, Igon, and Galadros together and introduced Borchi as a Dragon from the World Mountain Range.
  • Lady Shalanwe offered to equip Borchi, and Rayne agreed to reimburse the cost as Borchi left with her, Igon, and Galadros.
  • Rayne ordered Fabian to summon Habu with Beginner Tier Demon Souls, then asked Habu how many Gray-Striped Sword-Horned Antelope Demon Souls he could supply.

Ch. 414Gun Modification

Rayne bought Gray-Striped Sword-Horned Antelope Demon Souls and carefully matched them to Gunwing Knights so they could advance with high compatibility. He then went to modify Rambo's Gun for the Extreme Warriors' upcoming mission, but producing enough new ammunition threatened to take several days.

  • Rayne agreed to buy Habu's Gray-Striped Sword-Horned Antelope Demon Souls for 150 Gold Shields each and asked him to collect more while keeping their connection to the Gunwing Knights quiet.
  • Rayne received more than twenty Demon Souls, examined their wave frequencies with his Soul Eye, and summoned seventeen ascended Gunwing Knights to the Meditation Room.
  • Rayne matched each Gunwing Knight with a Demon Soul, gave Deson one with Lightning Reflexes, and instructed the group not to exchange their assigned souls before sending them to collect supplies.
  • Rayne went to the Mechanical Alchemy Room to modify Rambo's Gun for the Extreme Warriors, replacing gunpowder bullets with caseless phlogiston ammunition.
  • Rayne began preparing the new ammunition, but he worried that making enough for twenty-four guns would take several days.

Ch. 415Warband Mobilizes

Rayne assembled his forces for Duke Silverstar’s operation, bringing the Extreme Warriors and Borchi to Longshande. The chapter left Duke Silverstar stunned by the Extreme Warriors’ strength as she asked Rayne how he had trained them.

  • The Extreme Warriors finished making ammunition, and Rayne ordered them to prepare for departure while he continued studying the Explosive Bullet Gun.
  • Pansir told Rayne that Duke Silverstar’s operation would begin the next day, and that she, Badmon, and the Silver Armor Knights would return to Longshande with him.
  • Rayne assembled twenty-four Extreme Warriors, Pansir’s Secret Fire Guard, Badmon’s knights, and Borchi, who arrived wearing Lightforged Holy Armor.

  • The Extreme Warriors marched onto the training ground, revealing four Legendary Auras and overwhelming Duke Silverstar and her assembled Legendaries.
  • Duke Silverstar asked Rayne how he had trained the Extreme Warriors.

Ch. 416Wyverns in the Sky

Duke Silverstar's forces opened a portal to Majros and prepared to attack the Deceiver's stronghold, tower, and city. Rayne led the Extreme Warriors toward the city on Borchi, a Golden Three-Headed Dragon, as the battle began.

  • Duke Silverstar summoned the Security Bureau and Demon Extermination Squad, and Driss and Pollock recognized Rayne among the assembled forces.
  • Duke Silverstar activated the Teleportation Array, and Flinck confirmed that the portal reached Majros safely.

  • Duke Silverstar summoned vast numbers of Demon Souls, including Fire Ravens, Poison Mist Wolf Spiders, Hill Giants, Chimeras, and a Legendary High Tier Wind Lord.
  • Duke Silverstar summoned an immense Ancient Dragon Demon, whose appearance shook half the city.

Ch. 418Long-Street Charge

Duke Silverstar’s summoned army attacked the Eclipse High Tower while Rayne led his forces toward the city lord’s residence. After Rayne’s guns destroyed the defenders’ artillery, the Silver Armor Knights met a vast Transcendent army charging down the street.

  • Duke Silverstar summoned an Ancient Dragon Demon and directed her creatures to assault the Eclipse High Tower, but the tower’s barrier and defenses withstood their attacks.
  • Rayne spotted Steam Crossbow Cannons around the city lord’s fortress and ordered the Extreme Warriors to destroy them with Rambo’s Guns before the Fire Dragons entered their range.
  • The Extreme Warriors eliminated the artillery platforms, and the Silver Armor Knights caught up with Rayne’s forces.
  • The fortress gates opened, releasing Pigs Berserkers, Ratfolk, Kobolds, Serpentkin Warriors, and the city lord’s Dilavida guards against the Silver Armor Knights.
  • Commander Tien ordered the knights to prepare and lower their lances as the armies closed to thirty paces, when another burst of gunfire erupted overhead.

Ch. 419Scythe of the God of Death

Rayne’s forces slaughtered Majros’s defenders and advanced on the city lord’s manor while Duke Silverstar’s assault kept Eclipse High Tower under pressure. Loki’s attempted descent was blocked by the Goddess of Magic, giving Rayne a chance to activate his newly upgraded long-range soul absorption and join the fighting.

  • Commander Tien led the Silver Armor Knights into the city lord’s manor after the Extreme Warriors’ gunfire wiped out the enemies in their path.
  • Rayne ordered the Extreme Warriors to split up, block the manor’s exits, and storm the castle while he watched the battle from the sky.
