The Third Hokage watched what was happening at Training Ground Seven through the crystal ball, and he greatly admired the current strength of Tsukishiro Yuexi and Qing Yan. They were both very promising children!
The old man's gaze shifted to Ming Jing, who puzzled him. Ming Jing had skillfully turned the two crises Konohagakure had faced into his own strength. The Third Hokage was all too familiar with this kind of talent; his own teacher, the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju, was like that. The difference was that Ming Jing's methods were more mature and effective than the Second Hokage's. Coupled with his ability to cultivate and control his subordinates, as well as his own ethereal strength that was like clouds and mist, five words jumped into the Third Hokage's mind.
A born Hokage!
So, when the Daimyo proposed that Ming Jing manage the Land of Fire, his first reaction was to refuse. Unfortunately, many things were beyond his control. The Daimyo was determined to take Ming Jing away, and the Third Hokage couldn't force him to stay.
This was also why the Third Hokage chose Asuma as the captain of the Kurama Squad. Firstly, Asuma was very familiar with the Daimyo, and secondly, the young Asuma was more likely to gain Ming Jing's approval. Kakashi Hatake was experienced, and Ming Jing would likely become defensive the moment Kakashi approached him. Might Guy was passionate and simple, and the Third Hokage worried that Ming Jing would trick him into working himself to the bone while still counting the money for him. Asuma, however, fell somewhere in between, making him the most suitable candidate. As long as Asuma gained Ming Jing's approval, it would naturally create another bond with Konoha.
"I don't know if it's good or bad!" The Third Hokage smoked his pipe, silently watching the young man in the crystal ball. Suddenly, he felt the screen flicker. The Third Hokage frowned, suspecting his old eyes were playing tricks on him.
On the training ground, Asuma was having a hard time fending off Tsukishiro Yuexi and Qing Yan when they teamed up. There were even several near-death experiences that made the spectators jump with excitement. Suddenly, a shadow blocked Ming Jing's line of sight. Asuma, with a cigarette in his mouth, squatted in front of Ming Jing. It seemed he was fighting a Shadow Clone, as the one confronting Yuexi and Qing Yan was a clone. No Jonin should be underestimated!
Asuma asked curiously, "How did you know I was one of the Guardians of Twelve?"
"Your waistcloth," Ming Jing said, nodding with his chin.
"But I remember we hadn't met before!" Asuma scratched his head and said after recalling carefully.
"We have met," Ming Jing said seriously. "At the Fourth Hokage's funeral, I saw you."
"Hmm... you're that kid next to Koji?!" Asuma tried hard to recall and finally remembered. Ming Jing was only a few years old then! He actually remembered.
"It's great that you remember, Captain," Ming Jing said with a smile.
"Are you mocking my bad memory?" Asuma sighed and asked.
"You saw through it!" Ming Jing still smiled.
"Uh... you're so direct, it hurts my feelings!" Asuma scratched his head again. He exhaled smoke and asked, "You should know what kind of mission we're going to undertake. Do you have any thoughts?"
"Can we abandon the mission?" Ming Jing asked expectantly.
"No!" Asuma shook his head firmly.
Ming Jing frowned and thought for a moment. "Hmm... can you pull me out first? Being buried like this feels strange."
Asuma was silent for a moment before speaking, "Didn't you confidently state that you could get out yourself?"
"I need to maintain my dignity in front of my subordinates! After all, I'm as brilliant as I am," Ming Jing said with a serious expression.
Dignity, my foot! Do you think you have any dignity left after being buried in the ground in front of your subordinates?!
Asuma roared internally, then silently pulled Ming Jing out of the dirt...
"Oh my... my clothes are dirty! Captain, why don't we rest at the Kurama Clan for a bit? I could also take a bath and change." As soon as Ming Jing got out, he looked at himself. Indeed, he had gotten some dirt and dust on him.
"You still need to snatch the bells!" Asuma sighed, suddenly feeling exhausted.
"Oh? Is this what you're talking about, Captain?" Ming Jing smiled slightly and opened his palm, tossing two bells towards Asuma.
Asuma caught them and couldn't help but frown. He hadn't noticed at all when Ming Jing had taken the bells. If even a Jonin couldn't detect it, was this kid's strength really that formidable?
"When you pulled me out just now, these bells were dangling near my hand. The position was too good, I couldn't resist casually reaching out and they were mine," Ming Jing said with a grin, looking completely harmless.
"Even so, it's not easy to fool a Jonin!" Asuma stared at Ming Jing, feeling his dignity as a Jonin had been challenged.
"That's because I'm an Illusion Technique user!" Ming Jing said nonchalantly.
"I didn't sense you using any Illusion Techniques. Or has your Illusion Technique reached a level where it can fool a Jonin?" Asuma asked with a probing demeanor.
"That's where your understanding of Illusion Technique users is mistaken," Ming Jing thought for a moment. This seemed difficult to explain! After all, he had only just grasped it himself. Seeing Asuma's inquisitive gaze, Ming Jing organized his thoughts and said, "Illusion Technique is a method of mental attack. Through one's own strong mental will and some seemingly casual but hidden movements, sounds, images, drugs, or objects, the target is thrown into a state of mental trance, causing various hallucinations in their consciousness. In other words, some simple Illusion Techniques do not require Chakra. Just like Taijutsu users, a normal punch or kick does not use Chakra."
Seeing Asuma's bewildered expression, Ming Jing wondered how this guy managed to catch up to the Illusion Technique user Kurenai Yuhi later on? Did he use his identity as the Second Hokage's shadow? He really was a scumbag!
Thus, Ming Jing's gaze towards Asuma changed...
"Cough, cough, cough... Even if I don't quite understand it right now, you don't need to look at me like that, do you?" Asuma coughed awkwardly and said.
"Simply put, it's psychological suggestion," Ming Jing sighed. For the sake of Hiruzen's future, he wouldn't make things difficult for his father.
Speaking of which, Ming Jing couldn't help but fall into deep thought. Kishimoto, that guy... must be a founding member of the FFF Group, right?! He definitely must be?!
Looking at the entire Naruto series, all heterosexual relationships end tragically!
Tsunade Senju, heterosexual: boyfriend died first, then brother.
Jiraiya, heterosexual: disciple died first, then master.
Konan, heterosexual: boyfriend died...
Uzuki Yugao, heterosexual: boyfriend died...
Shikamaru Nara, heterosexual: father died...
Ino Yamanaka, heterosexual: father died...
Temari, heterosexual: father died...
Neji Hyuga, heterosexual: father died...
Rock Lee, heterosexual: friend died first, then master was crippled...
Sai, heterosexual: brother died...
Uchiha Itachi, heterosexual: father and mother both died...
Kurenai Yuhi, heterosexual: fiancé died...
Hinata Hyuga is heterosexual. Her uncle died first, then her brother, and she herself almost died twice.
Sakura Haruno is heterosexual. Although none of her close friends or family died, the thought of her husband being away for long periods, leaving her to guard an empty room, is pretty miserable, isn't it?!
What's more, the more important the character, the more their friends and family die!!!
Don't believe me??
Uchiha Sasuke is heterosexual. His entire family died...
Uzumaki Naruto is heterosexual. His entire family died...
And after watching the entire Hokage series, the only heterosexual character whose parents are alive, whose partner is devoted, and whose child is cute is Choji Akimichi!!!
It's Choji Akimichi!
That fat guy who uses Expansion Jutsu!
How much do you hate heterosexuals, Kishimoto?! (Manual table flip)
"Phew..." Ming Jing couldn't help but wipe away the cold sweat. It was a terrifying thought!
"Hm? Ming Jing, what's wrong? You're suddenly sweating so much," Asuma asked, looking at Ming Jing with confusion.
"It's nothing, nothing," Ming Jing quickly shook his head, feeling like he was being targeted by the world's consciousness! After all, there was a strange noise in the sky when he kidnapped Hinata. It seemed like it wasn't suitable to get too close to the protagonist and main supporting characters right now, except for Hinata, of course. Even if he had to go against the whole world, Ming Jing would never leave Hinata.
If...
If a world truly had a consciousness, what would it do when faced with a changed plot? From a progressive thinking perspective, if it calculated that there was a deviation at Hinata's stage, it might look for a replacement. Who among the same generation in the entire Konohagakure would be the most suitable replacement?
Hinata Hyuga: Beautiful, devoted, serious, with the powerful Hyuga Clan and the Byakugan Bloodline Limit behind her.
Sakura Haruno: Beautiful, devoted, serious, has a lover.
Ino Yamanaka: Beautiful, with the Yamanaka Clan behind her, has a lover.
Tenten: Beautiful, devoted, serious, has a lover.
Judging by the later plot, Tenten seems to fit the requirements of a replacement better??
Wait a minute!!!
Ming Jing suddenly realized he had overlooked someone and became flustered.
Kurama Yakumo: Beautiful, devoted, serious, with the powerful Kurama Clan behind her and a Bloodline Limit that controls the five senses!
Damn it
