Background

Xu Hanfeng was a university student in his previous life before transmigrating to Douluo Continent. After his parents died, he survived alone in an impoverished village by behaving with a maturity far beyond his apparent age. 1

His Martial Soul awakening revealed the Douluo Compendium, a card-based ability that immediately gave him a permanent soul skill, Giant’s Grasp, and the means to activate Character Cards. He used Giant’s Grasp against a corrupt village chief, then ordered Tang Ya to ensure the man’s death, establishing his willingness to eliminate threats decisively. 2 3
