Felucia, Imperial Prison.
This prison was one of the largest in the Eastern Outer Rim. Felucia had once been one of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' key planets, and the Merchant Guilds had once established their headquarters here.
Later, when the Confederacy of Independent Systems collapsed, the Galactic Empire converted one of the Merchant Guilds' massive storage centers into a sprawling prison. Nothing surprising about that—local resources were convenient, after all.
Nearly all captured remnants of the Confederacy of Independent Systems were imprisoned here. To ensure that these dangerous elements could no longer cause trouble, Felucia Prison employed the highest level of security measures.
The entire prison floor was made of metal, and all prisoners were required to go barefoot. As long as the warden wished it, any area of the prison could immediately be flooded with high-voltage electricity. The voltage could be adjusted to paralyze people, knock them unconscious, inflict horrific pain while leaving them unable to die, or kill them instantly.
And every night, the entire prison floor was electrified. No prisoner could possibly leave their tiny cell.
In contrast, all prison guards wore insulated boots. Even while the power was on, they could move freely throughout the prison.
At the same time, the prison stood above a vast primeval jungle. It was supported by over a thousand enormous metal pillars a hundred meters tall, keeping it far above the ground and the towering ancient trees. If anyone somehow managed to escape, what awaited them was the jungle's despair-inducing environment: Poison Bugs, miasma, swamps, and savage beasts.
The Merchant Guilds had originally built their warehouses in this manner to store their own illegal smuggled goods.
And no one should ever expect the prison to stock any supplies useful for surviving in the primeval jungle—bug repellent, protective clothing, malaria
