Although the Galactic Empire had pressured the Trade Federation through political channels on multiple fronts, forcing them to abandon the idea of taking all their wealth down with them, after all, much of that wealth had been entrusted here by the great aristocratic houses of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Neimoidians also feared truly becoming public enemies of the galaxy. Faced with the Galactic Empire's pressure, they had no choice but to yield and promise to ensure the safety of that wealth as much as possible.
But even so, capturing Bridge City was still incredibly difficult.
After several months of fierce fighting, the Galactic Empire had captured three Bridge Cities. Two more had fallen entirely after the fighting became too intense and their suspended structures snapped. The collapse of those Bridge Cities caused a massive uproar among the nobles of the Core Worlds, and their opposition even reached Palpatine himself.
Emperor Palpatine personally issued an order: in all subsequent military operations, the destruction of any Bridge City was absolutely forbidden.

Inside Zarra City, the street fighting that had already lasted more than two months remained unimaginably brutal and intense.
From nearly every building and every stretch of shattered ruins, endless battle droids emerged. Fearless of death, they launched relentless attacks against the Imperial army.
The Trade Federation had clearly thrown everything on the line. They had committed every droid they possessed to the battle, continuously transporting them upward through the underground supply passages beneath Bridge City. For no other reason than that—even if ten droids had to be traded for one soldier, they would not hesitate.
Now, Imperial army troops would encounter B-1 battle droids crawling out of corners with practically every step they took, but that was already a
