In the sky, dozens of CR-25 landing craft dived toward the battlefield under the escort of TIE/LN light fighters.
The CR-25 landing craft had been developed by Corellia Engineering Company during the Clone Wars. Sixty meters long, it could carry forty soldiers, two LAAT/I assault transports, fourteen 74-Z speeder bikes, and four AT-PT walkers—roughly the capacity of four tactical squads.
This landing craft upheld Corellia Engineering Company's usual traits: understated and reliable. Even within the Galactic Empire's military, it was still widely used.
However, this time, these CR-25 transports had reduced their payload. Each transport carried only twenty soldiers.
The transport fleet descended at high speed and soon approached the battlefield where the Scorpion Annihilator Droid was wreaking havoc. Before long, the transports hovered a hundred meters above the ground and opened their hatches.
One towering, burly figure after another appeared in the doorways, then jumped down without hesitation!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!! Dull impacts thundered one after another, as though the ground itself were trembling.
Amid the swirling dust, heavy footsteps sounded as one tall figure after another emerged! They looked somewhat like Stormtroopers, yet they were entirely different.
That was because every one of them wore power armor standing 2.3 meters tall! This power armor was immensely heavy, fitted with numerous weapons on its back and wrists. Yet judging by the way they moved, it did not seem to hinder their agility or mobility much. Moreover, each soldier's power armor appeared to differ slightly, likely modified according to their individual combat habits.
The Imperial soldiers at the scene were all dumbfounded. They had never seen equipment like this before!
More soldiers in power armor continued jumping from the CR-25 transports and joining the ranks. In only a few minutes, several hundred soldiers had completed their organization and assembly.
