2334, First Fondor Campaign (I)
While Dunn Vesex was planning a counteroffensive, Sefrans Tann's long-prepared assault on Fondor—a fortress planet that was both the Galactic Empire's industrial center and a bulwark against the Kingdom of Dawn's invasion of the Inner Rim—finally began!
At 6 a.m. Galactic Standard Time on August 20, the Kingdom of Dawn fleet departed from Yag'Dhul and entered hyperspace.
At 10 a.m., accompanied by a flash of white light, the Kingdom of Dawn fleet emerged from hyperspace and arrived sixty light-minutes from Fondor Planet, where it began reorganizing its formations.
Sefrans Tann had brought nearly all the main warships of the Kingdom of Dawn's First and Second Task Forces, a total of 900 capital ships! Reinforcements continued to arrive, and by 9 p.m. on August 20, the number of auxiliary, medium, and small warships had also exceeded 5,000. Among them were 250 of the most advanced and powerful Minotaur-class Heavy Cruisers!
The First Fondor Planetary Battle had fully erupted!
Fondor Planet was the second planet in the Fondor System. The Kingdom of Dawn fleet was currently positioned roughly near the orbit of the third planet. Sefrans Tann deployed her fleet within Planet Three's gravity well, keeping it in Planet Three's orbit.
Based on the current positions of Fondor Planet and Planet Three along their orbital paths, the two planets would remain roughly on the same side of the system's central star for the next two years.
The Kingdom of Dawn fleet also included twenty Raloz-class Heavy Constructors, which began building a spaceport around Planet Three. Specialized mining construction ships were also dispatched to land on the barren planet and establish planetary mines and several heavy facilities.
It appeared that Sefrans Tann had made up her mind to fight a protracted war. Yet something was strange: the facilities
