After Archduke Poggle left, Emperor Karina finally turned to Ganzo Daoso and Nova. "Now, I have a plan..."
Nova had already put her full-coverage helmet back on. No expression could be seen beneath the pitch-black visor. She coldly interrupted, "This was never part of our agreement."
"Poggle has a point. He is a very forceful person, and if the Geonosians want more, they need someone like him to lead them. So... I tolerated his insubordination," Emperor Karina said. "He is different from those noble breeds that are content to lie in their nests and indulge themselves. He is a man of action. In some ways, I admire him."
"So Poggle the Lowborn's rise and betrayal were both orchestrated by you from behind the scenes?" Nova asked.
"When he rose, I chose to support neither side. In the end, he won. As for bringing me here, he was right about that. If I remained on Geonosis, there was a high chance that the Galactic Empire would kill me. So I agreed to his plan—to serve the Empire in exchange for a chance at survival," Emperor Karina replied.
On her tiny upper body, Emperor Karina's eyes protruded, bright and alert. She continued, "The Geonosians do not possess Dawn Star Planet's strength. We placed our bet on Count Dooku, but we failed. Failure means facing retribution. That is the harshest reality facing Outer Rim species like us. Dawn Star Planet belongs to the Human race and possesses formidable technology and fleets. You do not need to fear the Galactic Empire, but we do... We do not merely worry. We are terrified."
Her tone was somewhat sorrowful. "Dawn Star Planet belongs to the Human race, so you do not have to fear being excluded by the Galactic
