After Arihnda Pryce was arrested by the Givin, Kobori directly installed himself as governor of Lothal Planet and severed all ties with the Galactic Empire.
The Galactic Empire could do nothing about it. After weighing his options, Wilhuff Tarkin decided to abandon this remote planet. He was actually fairly supportive of Givin immigration. After all, for a race with such highly developed industry and shipbuilding, abandoning their homeworld for the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy seemed beneficial to the Galactic Empire no matter how one looked at it.
Developing at the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy was better than stubbornly holding on to the transportation hub of Yag'Dhul Planet.
However, at the time, Wilhuff Tarkin did not know about the stargate on Lothal Planet, nor did he foresee that Fondor Planet would later be occupied by the Kingdom of Dawn. With the fall of Fondor Planet, Yag'Dhul Planet's strategic importance was no longer so significant.
Of course, by then, Wilhuff Tarkin would no longer need to concern himself with Lothal Planet or the Givin.
After Governor Arihnda Pryce was removed from office, Lothal Planet's natives elected Kyle Marr as their governor.
Kyle Marr then began negotiations with the Givin Governor Kobori. At first, their cooperation had actually been quite good. Kobori continued building industrial zones on Lothal Planet, and the terms he offered were far more lenient than Arihnda Pryce's. At the beginning, Kyle Marr felt that the arrangement was not entirely unacceptable.
But very soon, after Arihnda Pryce was dealt with, the number of Givin immigrants grew larger and larger, reaching more than fourteen million within a single year!
Only then did Kyle Marr realize that something was wrong. Previously, the Givin had been conspiring with Arihnda Pryce, so Lothal Planet's local government had not actually known
