Bilbrin Outpost Battle (6)

Seeing his fighter formations being slaughtered, Galactic Empire Admiral Horst Strege's face turned livid. He stared fixedly at the holographic tactical star map, his teeth clenched.

The performance of those advanced fighters made his eyelids twitch, especially those heavy fighters—they were terrifying! Those heavy fighters were over twenty meters long, larger than nearly every fighter currently in service with the Galactic Empire. Yet their size had not diminished their maneuverability. In fact, their maneuverability and burst acceleration were unbelievably powerful. Even in one-on-one dogfights, the Galactic Empire's TIE Advanced fighters stood no chance at all.

General Strege had already confirmed through the Intelligence Department that these fighters were the Kingdom of Dawn's YSS-1000 Sabre-class fighters. They had been commissioned into the Kingdom of Dawn Navy for some time and had drawn close attention from the Imperial Intelligence Bureau, but no concrete data on their combat performance had ever been obtained.

But now, he knew. And he had learned it in such a brutal fashion!

Ever since those two colossal ships, presumably aircraft carriers, had entered the battlefield, the situation had changed.

First, his own fighter formations had been slaughtered, forcing him to dispatch anti-air warships to intercept the enemy fighters. As a result, with no fighters harassing them, the Kingdom of Dawn's warships were able to concentrate their firepower and shields toward the front, strengthening their ability to engage head-on.

Moreover, the Kingdom of Dawn fighter formations had suffered almost no losses and were flying toward the Imperial fleet. Before long, they would engage the Empire's second wave of fighter formations and the defensive line formed by those anti-air warships.

But Strege held no hope whatsoever for the outcome of this engagement.

He reported the entire situation here to Gillard Perine, commander of the Northern Territory
