Yoda's Death (Part 2)
"Luke Skywalker, you really did know," Master Yoda said. "I was not wrong. 'Father'... the greatest variable in the Force, you are."
"You too, Yoda." Darth Malthael grinned savagely as he slowly advanced, searching for an opening. "Since you vanished, there have been too many mysteries surrounding you. If I capture you, everything will be revealed!"
The next second, Crimson Lightning struck instantly, locking Master Yoda in place with the Force and leaving him nowhere to flee. Yoda half-closed his eyes. The Lightsaber in his hand hummed and trembled as he actually moved to meet the Crimson Lightning that tore through space. Guiding the Crimson Lightning with his blade, his face twisted in pain, yet he still redirected it toward the ground bit by bit.
With a boom, the Crimson Lightning exploded against the ground. Master Yoda swung his Lightsaber again, cleaving through the smoke and dust. A green blade flashed like a gale past Darth Malthael's left shoulder! But immediately afterward, he was engulfed by endless Force lightning.
Darth Malthael laughed maniacally as countless bolts poured down like torrential rain, completely swallowing the cavern. Even the walls and floor crawled with countless currents like water snakes.
"You're old! And stupid! Who gave you the confidence to think you could defeat me in an environment steeped in darkness like this?!" Darth Malthael roared, gathering another bolt of Crimson Lightning in his hand.
"On Mortis... I saw you..." Master Yoda said.
In an instant, the Crimson Lightning pierced his body. His aged frame, already at the end of its strength, flew away like a fallen leaf and crashed heavily into the cavern wall, sending rubble raining down.
