Zhou Xue was born to the man who saved Fang Zhen’s life during his military service. After her father died and her bedridden mother passed away upon hearing the news, Fang Zhen brought the infant Zhou Xue to the Fang Estate and adopted her as his daughter. She grew up reclusive, delicate in appearance, and fiercely protected by Fang Zhen. 1

In her previous life, Zhou Xue escaped the Night of the Clan Annihilation and wandered for years before entering cultivation. She eventually ascended, but she and her disciples were later besieged by powerful enemies; the Jiuyou True Immortal was among those responsible. 22 146
