Background / History

Fang Hanyu is the third son of Fang Zhe, Fang Wang's second uncle, and grew up close to Fang Wang despite being sent away to train at Nanqiu City's largest martial arts sect. By the time he returned to Fang Manor, he was already considered a top-tier martial artist. 2

During the Night of the Clan Annihilation, Fang Hanyu confronted a bronze-masked peak expert while prepared to fight to the death and buy time for the manor. Fang Wang intervened and killed the attacker, leaving Fang Hanyu struck by the disparity between their strength. 3 4

On the journey to Taiyuan Sect, Fang Hanyu sought Fang Wang's instruction in the Sword Control Technique. He formed Spiritual Energy after half a month of qi absorption and, after three days of training, could make a wooden sword float. 8

While undertaking a Taiyuan Sect mission, he was pursued by Green Cicada Valley and severely injured. He is deeply loyal to the Fang family and views Fang Wang as both mentor and protector. After recognizing the role he could play in the family's future, he promised to kill without hesitation if Fang Wang or Zhou Xue commanded it. 33
