Background / History

Naruto was born as one of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki's twin sons during the Nine-Tails' attack on Konohagakure. While his elder brother Menma inherited Kushina's red hair and became the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki, Naruto inherited Minato's blond hair and blue eyes and was raised publicly as the Fourth Hokage's son.
