Background / History
During her early transformation, Qingli was taught by an unnamed human Daoist who recognized her spirituality and urged her toward the path of a spiritual demon. Before leaving, he passed down a legacy containing human scriptures, classics, martial arts, and spells; Qingli's Dao Induction method came from this Daoist. 53 147
Before meeting Lin Le, Qingli had reached the limit of Form Transformation and possessed a Spirit Grade bloodline, though it was only that of a low-grade Profound Water Yin Python. She hid in a well while avoiding a flood dragon, finding cultivation on land difficult without water veins. 42 62
Qingli emerged after Cai Xiuyong's death and introduced herself to Lin Le. She accepted spirit stones as payment, reinforced his Tiger Bone Spear instead of taking Cai Xiuyong's artifacts, and became his regular companion afterward. 39
Appearance
Qingli first appears as a white serpent and later gains increasingly complete human and dragon forms. Her Foundation Establishment transformed her into a blue-and-white dragon snake with horns and forelimbs; after reaching Golden Core, her human appearance became her truer form rather than a simple transformation spell. 59 102 158
- In serpent form, she is initially a blue-and-white snake; after consuming True Dragon Qi, her body grows to fifty-six zhang. 102 163
- Her Foundation Establishment transformation gives her ice-blue cloud-patterned scales, dragon horns, a horse-like head, pronounced fangs, and two limbs. 102
- Her Golden Core human form has ink-black hair, an oval face, and a dignified bearing that replaces the colder, more doll-like appearance of her earlier Change Technique form. 158
- She can create a flowing immortal dress from her shed scales and teeth using azure beast fire. 102
Personality
Qingli is playful, flirtatious, and notably vain. She enjoys praise, takes pride in even her first attempt at writing human characters, and regularly teases Lin Le with provocative remarks or affectionate behavior. 39 90 109
Despite her teasing nature, she is cautious about cultivation. She refuses to recklessly share Lin Le's dangerous three-path cultivation method and remains focused on strengthening her own bloodline rather than relying solely on immediate breakthroughs. 48 93
She is ambitious and competitive, particularly when Lin Le's rapid growth risks leaving her behind. Her desire to become a True Dragon, her persistent cultivation, and her later concern over Ling Muzhu's Dao Body all reflect her determination not to be surpassed. 102 148 320
