Background / History

On December 23, 2013, a Honkai fanfiction writer transmigrates into Otto Apocalypse's body at Schicksal Headquarters. Aware that Void Archives recognizes differences from the original Otto, he performs the role of the Grand Bishop while deliberately fostering her belief that she can manipulate him. 1 2

He discovers the Book of Void, a “golden finger” capable of altering history through selected anchors. His first major alteration changes the Second Honkai Outbreak's outcome: Cecilia Schariac is rescued and placed in a secret Schicksal chamber, where she can only awaken by his command. 2 4

After awakening the amnesiac Cecilia, Otto keeps her close, shapes her new circumstances, and helps her re-enter the world. His care is genuine in practice, but he also treats her attachment, memories, and future resentment as variables in a larger plan. 6 8 16

Otto begins consolidating Schicksal's forces by taking the Oath of Judah from St. Freya, ordering the destruction of its hidden experimental subjects, and directing a global investigation into World Serpent and the Stigmata Project. In London, he turns Jackal's ambush into an operation against World Serpent. Although Seven Thunders of Repose destroys the body he presents on the battlefield, he survives through a Soul Steel body, captures Jackal, takes World Serpent's London base, and acquires Thousand Worlds Samsara and Seven Thunders of Repose. 20 21 23 26

Otto subsequently engineers Welt Yang's defeat with Schicksal's strongest Valkyries, the Staff of the Underworld, the God-Slaying Spear, and Li Sushang's Tai Xu Sword God.
