Background and Influence

The Zhou Family became the Azure World's dominant force under its patriarch, Zhou Kuang, the Savage Great Emperor. With Zhou Kuang as the world's strongest cultivator and five Supreme Beings in the family, it suppressed rival forces and expanded into territories beyond the Azure World. Other Azure World powers generally possessed only one or two Supreme Beings. 1

Its influence extends beyond direct military power. Zhou Xinchi's Heart Pond Empire handles commerce across the Azure World, with ninety-nine percent of the world's trade bearing its influence. The family also maintains numerous subordinate forces, including the Mountain Sect. 1 7 8

The family is feared for harsh retaliation. After a rogue Feather Ascension cultivator plundered one of its smaller resource points, the Zhou Family used Wisdom Path deductions to locate and kill both the culprit and cultivators associated with him. 22

History

Zhou Qiongtian's Enhancement

When Zhou Qiongtian was revealed to have Mortal Grade Low Rank talent, Zhou Kuang resolved to rebuild his son's potential through force. He seized Batian's Supreme Bone and a prodigy's Twin Pupils, then personally performed the transplantation despite the Heavenly Tribulation it provoked. 1 2 3

The family subsequently held a grand banquet for Zhou Qiongtian's successful bone and pupil replacement. Super-forces attended with gifts despite resentment toward Zhou Kuang, including the Mystic Heaven Hegemony Sect, whose prodigy had lost the Supreme Bone. 5 6

Losses During the Great Unity Wind

The Great Unity Wind catastrophe in the Shadow Continent cut off contact with Zhou Kuang and extinguished the soul lamps of two Zhou Family Supreme Beings and ten Saint King Great Perfection cultivators. The family was reduced from five Supreme Beings to three, forcing its leadership to conceal the losses and prepare for opportunistic attacks by rival powers. 12

Resource-Point Conflict

Five major powers attacked Elder Mo and Zhou Qiongtian, exploiting the family's weakened position. Soon afterward, hostile cultivators began raiding Zhou Family resource lands, killing guards and seizing resources. 21 22

The Grand Elder ordered the recall of clansmen from all but the super resource points, prioritizing the preservation of Saints and Saint Kings over temporary resource losses. 23

The family retaliated through a hunting squad led by the Fifth Grand Elder. It devastated the Mystic Heaven Hegemony Sect's three largest resource points, killing thirty-one Saints and seven Saint Kings, then continued plundering major sites belonging to the Azure Profound Divine Palace and other hostile powers. 24

Anti-Zhou Alliance War

The Mystic Heaven Hegemony Sect assembled an Anti-Zhou Alliance of six superpowers, twelve top-tier powers, and at least seven Supreme Beings. Mad Demon Valley also pledged its support. 39 40 41

In response, the Zhou Family recalled Saint-tier members, created a kill-reward system, prepared evacuation arrays for unripe prodigies, and publicly demanded that its members stand or die with the family. 42 44 47

The alliance invaded through hidden teleportation arrays, breached the Family Protection Array, and brought the Great Sun Divine Sect's Crimson Flame Divine Lion into the Zhou estate. The War Hall, Law Enforcement Hall, Assassination Hall, Formation Hall, elders, and family prodigies entered open battle. 47 48

During the invasion, Zhou Zimo killed several Saint Kings, while Zhou Qiongtian used the River of Time to rise from late-stage Saint to early-stage Supreme and began swiftly killing enemy Saint Kings. 49 50
