This Zhou Dahua...
Though they had never met him, everyone seemed to picture a vivid person in their minds. He was a little chubby, perhaps somewhat burly too, maybe even wore glasses.
A freelancer who did not like going out—he was surely a little unkempt as well.
Maybe his face was greasy all year round and he did not really use facial cleanser... Well, he was single, so it was even less likely that he had any facial cleanser.
He probably just splashed some water on his face and wiped it once, calling it done.
He might have seemed a little dull,
but he had plenty of dirty jokes bottled up inside.
He rather liked to sing his own praises, and when his blood ran hot, he would occasionally do things that did not align with his own interests.
Like that diary entry just now,
he had practically cast himself as his own historian. Even the honest words he accidentally wrote had to be deleted and rewritten.
He was an ordinary person, but a vividly real one.
The diary was not over.

May 7th, Thursday.
I got lucky and followed the road back to my old apartment.
Good thing Laozi was smart enough to bring a bag with a spare key before I left, or Laozi would definitely have been screwed.
Seriously screwed! Like, dead right out there on the street... I realized that those monsters varied in strength too. On my way back, I actually hacked one to death with a machete. It was not that big, but it still scared the hell out of Laozi.
Nothing much happened today.
There was water and food in the apartment. I figured I could hold out for a week.
It was just so damn uncomfortable without
