May 16th, Saturday.
Sure enough, our supplies were running out fast. We could still hold on for a few days, but if we didn't replenish them, things would get dangerous.
I couldn't wait until the supplies were completely gone before restocking.
That way, we wouldn't be able to keep up our strength, and we'd panic even more.
I felt like I was almost getting used to this kind of life. I even knew how to make plans now! Ha! Maybe Laozi really was a survival genius?
There was a theory in novels I'd read before: some people's talents could only be awakened in terrible living conditions. I figured I was that kind of person, hahaha~ Going out to search for supplies clearly wasn't a good idea right now, but there were plenty of rooms in this building. Most of them were empty now. I figured they were all in shelters, so it shouldn't matter if I took a few things from their rooms, right? After all, I'd ended up down here because I sacrificed myself for the people.
Whew, I'm back. Luckily, I found some supplies. Those security doors were really hard to pry open, though.
At least we wouldn't have to worry about supplies for a while.
May 18th, Monday.
The mother in the mother-and-daughter pair we saved was called Zhang Hejing, and the daughter was called Zhou Xiaoyu.
She shared my surname, haha!
Ever since we brought those two back, life seemed more interesting than before... There was just one problem. With water being so scarce, they still set aside some every day to wash up and wipe themselves down. Wasn't that practically killing us?
Water was hard to find, okay?
But having two clean, pretty girls at home was nice to look at, wasn't it?
