Lin Xiaoxi is Lin Xiaowei's younger sister. While Xiaowei is stranded in another world, Xiaoxi remains on Earth with the Lin family; their father’s stock-market losses place the household under financial strain 4 39.

She attends Southeast University alongside Li Yao. Their families repeatedly try to create opportunities for them, but Xiaoxi bluntly rejects the idea of a relationship and states that she is not interested in boys 3 4 17. During a seven-day trip to Macau with Li Yao, she witnesses his roulette winnings and begins to see him differently from the ordinary student she thought she knew 8 10.

Azure Dragon Mountain incident

Xiaoxi calls Li Yao for help after becoming trapped near Azure Dragon Mountain Mental Hospital, where she observes black-clothed men and masked fighters battling in supernatural fog.
