"Splash!"

Peter plunged heavily into the sewage.

The lizard-transformed Connors bore down on him with the strength of a truck!

Peter was forced into the rushing sewage. The foul-smelling water immediately seeped into his mask, nearly pouring into his mouth.

He tried to break free from Connors's arms, only to discover that this Lizard Monster was unbelievably strong!

In fact, after transforming into a Lizard Man, Connors truly possessed immense strength. Combined with the fact that Peter had only just become Spider-Man and his Superpowers had not yet reached their peak, Peter actually lost to Lizard in this contest of strength.

At that moment, they had no idea where the flowing sewage was carrying them.

Lizard gripped Peter like an adult gripping a child's wrist, intent on snapping Peter's fragile body in half.

But he also discovered that although he had thought he could easily break the hands of this spandex-wearing freak, his opponent's bones and tendons were tougher than steel rebar.

This was a superhuman!

Connors's gaze became solemn.

This was not his first encounter with Peter, but they had not truly fought last time.

At that moment, Peter was already starting to suffocate beneath the sewage.

He knew perfectly well that he had to escape quickly.

So he kicked hard with both feet, striking Lizard in the chest and sending him flying. Then he immediately turned around and fled with the current like a fish.

He had wanted to be the hunter, yet he had unexpectedly become the prey.

After being kicked away, Lizard did not give up. He chased after Peter once again.

His palms were broad. Though they lacked webbing like a duck's feet, they could still push through the water rapidly. His thick tail also swayed swiftly beneath the water like a propeller, generating tremendous backward thrust.

Those physical features allowed Lizard to swim faster than Peter—far faster!

At that moment, he looked less like a lizard and more like a crocodile!

He was also like an underwater missile, smashing through the pipes and wire filters blocking his path. In an instant, he closed the gap with Peter. His sharp claws were like steel blades that cut through iron, tearing apart everything before them with every swing!

Peter continuously twisted his body. Relying on Spider-Sense, he could always strike bizarre and astonishing poses like a gymnast, narrowly dodging the attacks.

But he could dodge countless times, while one failure could cost him his life.

Fortunately, he was not without advantages.

His flexible body suited the sewers perfectly. After all, not every pipe was wide enough to accommodate a monster as large as Lizard.

"If I'd known this Lizard Man was so powerful, I should've switched jobs with Benny."

Peter grumbled tiredly.

Though he was only saying it and would never truly put Benny in danger, honestly, if Benny knew what Peter was thinking, he would happily trade places with him.

At that moment, inside Osborn Tower.

Benny held a serum antidote in his hand and warily looked around.

The Lizard Monsters had surrounded him from all sides.

He did not use the serum antidote on those monsters, not only because it had been prepared for Connors, but more importantly because those monsters had all been affected by Doctor Animo's Mutation Device. The antidote probably would not be very useful.

"The watch's cooldown isn't over yet. I can only stall for time."

Benny glanced at the watch still glowing red, his heart sinking slightly. When he looked toward Doctor Animo again, the man had completely disappeared into the darkness.

Suddenly, Spider-Sense blared like a torrential downpour!

The Lizard Monsters attacked Benny at the same time, dark shadows surging toward him like a swarm of locusts!

Without hesitation, Benny spun the vial in his palm and rolled it out along the floor. Then he grabbed one corner of the lab bench with both hands and swung the heavy table around like a flyswatter!

Boom!!!

One sweeping blow sent them all flying, and the monsters immediately let out shrill cries.

At the same time, the table in Benny's hands snapped apart completely.

He swept his gaze over the monsters and discovered that they had clearly inherited a lizard's powerful regenerative abilities. The wounds he had inflicted with all his strength completely healed within a few breaths.

Without even thinking, Benny charged out of the laboratory.

The next second, the monsters swarmed after him.

The narrow laboratory door could not possibly allow them through at once, but that was not a problem. Those Steel Bones monsters smashed the entire wall to pieces, sending shattered stones hurtling toward the other side of the tower like cannonballs.

Then came their relentless pursuit!

"Next time, I'm definitely bringing the Web Shooter!"

Naturally, Benny was not stupid enough to take the stairs. He bent his knees and leaped more than ten meters, landing vertically on the wall of Osborn Tower's central hall.

He had thought that would shake off the Lizard Monsters, but to his surprise, although they lacked biological static electricity, their sharp claws could dig into the walls, allowing them to pursue him relentlessly like Lickers from Resident Evil.

And they were incredibly fast!

"I need to lure them to the roof."

Benny glanced downward.

Honestly, if he truly wanted to run, he could easily leave all these monsters behind. But he could not let them escape Osborn Tower, or the consequences would be unimaginable.

To say nothing else, if even one of these creatures escaped, catching them again would be extremely difficult.

Whether rats or lizards, both were exceptionally good at surviving in sewers.

What Benny feared most was that they might trigger another Spider-Web Incident.

He turned and kicked one Lizard Monster away, but another pounced from a blind spot behind him. Without turning his head, Benny ducked beneath the attack and grabbed its tail with his backhand—

Several tons of force erupted in an instant!

"Lizard Meteor Hammer!"

He directly swung that Lizard Monster around as a weapon, making the surrounding air howl!

Several monsters that had been preparing to surround him were immediately smashed dizzy.

But that weapon was destined not to last long. Seeing that its tail had been caught, the Lizard Monster immediately tried to break it off and escape. However, Benny had already seized the opportunity and flung it away before it could sever its tail.

"Lizard Chariot!"

The tossed Lizard Monster immediately knocked down a whole row of monsters like a bowling ball.

"Strike!"

Yet before he could celebrate for long, an even more intense sense of danger surged through his body like an electric current.

"Whoosh!"

A sharp sound of tearing air rang out, like a blade cutting through the wind.

Benny rolled aside to evade the attack.

When he turned back, a massive shadow engulfed him—

It was a giant spider, far larger than Benny, nearly as tall as an entire floor. Its body seemed clad in solid armor, while its eight legs were embedded in the wall like steel spears.

Benny instinctively took several steps back.

"Did Doctor Animo use the Mutation Ray on the spiders inside Osborn Tower too?"

He was confused, but there was clearly no time to investigate.

The giant spider crushed toward him like an armored tank. He had nowhere to run, and behind him were densely packed Lizard Monsters—

The Spider Monster's powerful chelicerae struck like guillotines, nearly slicing Benny in half at the waist!

"Clack!"

A crisp sound rang out!

Like metal striking stone!

The Spider Monster's huge chelicerae trembled continuously, yet could not advance even an inch—

Reflected in its diamond-shaped compound eyes was no longer Benny's human form, but a tall warrior with a crystal-clear, sharply angular body!

—Diamondhead!

Benny exerted force with both arms and easily snapped off the Spider Monster's huge chelicerae!

"Sorry, but I don't want to become 2.5 Animos."
