Buying up Osborn shares?

Benny looked at the message Harry had sent him, pondered for a moment, and quickly understood Norman's intentions.

He understood Norman Osborn's situation even better than Harry did.

Norman clearly intended to use this opportunity to buy back Osborn Corporation's shares and regain control of the company.

In truth, this was an extremely risky move. If Osborn Corporation took a devastating hit, it might never recover. If that happened, Norman would essentially be bailing out those people on the Board of Directors.

And that was highly likely.

But on second thought, Benny felt there was no need to worry.

Norman Osborn had built everything from scratch. Although his father had once been a major businessman, the family had already fallen on hard times when Norman was young. Osborn Corporation had been founded by Norman afterward, and it had truly been built through hardship.

Besides, he was a scientist to begin with. Starting over once more was not impossible.

Thinking of that, Benny even considered putting up some money to buy Osborn shares at a low price.

But after thinking it over again, he decided it was unnecessary. Primus Technology's future prospects would definitely surpass Osborn's. Even if he did not have confidence in himself, he had confidence in Grey Matter.

The early funds still had to be spent where they mattered most.

"Tomorrow's the weekend. Let's go find Connors and Doctor Animo together," Peter said.

But Benny did not immediately agree. He simply had too much on his plate right now. Finding Doctor Animo was important, but building Primus was equally important to him.

It'd be great if I could turn into Ditto or Echo Echo.

He thought.

Both Ditto and Echo Echo were Alien Heroes capable of creating duplicates. Ditto's abilities were not particularly powerful, but duplication alone could sometimes be a tremendous help.

"You go find him. I have something to do on Saturday," Benny said.

In his view, Primus was far more important than Doctor Animo. Animo was, at the end of the day, only a B-rank villain. Last time, Little Broken Watch had still been on cooldown. Otherwise, Benny would never have let him escape.

Besides, Animo wanted to alter the genes of every living creature on Earth and return the world to the Prehistoric Era. Even if he succeeded, Little Broken Watch's genetic repair function could completely handle the aftermath. Benny had nothing to worry about.

"But I didn't expect this guy to vanish without a trace after leaving Osborn."

Benny thought to himself.

After all, Animo was not someone who could tolerate obscurity. His original goal had been to use his research to win a world-famous award and make a name for himself.

And nearly every time he appeared, he had swaggered around with his mutant frogs.

But in this world, Animo was far more cautious.

Benny had kept an eye on the news on his phone, but he had not seen any reports related to mutant creatures. Even if he wanted to find Animo, he had no way to start.

"What do you have going on this Saturday?" Peter asked.

He had noticed that Benny seemed to have so many things to do lately that he could barely keep up.

"Sorry, Peter, your cousin is coming to watch our band rehearse this weekend."

Mary Jane had noticed Benny and Peter walking together long ago. She had been about to come over and greet them, her vibrant red hair swaying, when she happened to hear Peter's question. Her face immediately lit up.

"A performance? You guys?" Peter's expression turned teasing and envious.

But before he could say anything else, Benny shook his head at Mary Jane.

"Sorry, Mary Jane, I actually have something else to do."

He had been so busy these past few days that he had completely forgotten Mary Jane's invitation. Fortunately, he had not agreed outright at the time, so this did not count as breaking a promise.

"Really?" Mary Jane had gotten excited for nothing and looked a little disappointed, but she did not say anything.

"All right. I'm sure you won't miss the school anniversary celebration, though. But then you'll only get to see the same performance as everyone else."

Benny: ???

Tell me more about this different performance.

"Ahem." Benny cleared his throat. "Sorry, I really do have something to do this weekend."

Benny did not explain further. For now, he had no plans to let Peter know about the company. He planned to give Peter a surprise later, when Peter truly needed money or a job.

For example, college—poor people did not have an easy time getting into a good university in this country. The student loans alone could take forever to repay. Obama had not paid off his loans until he became president.

Mary Jane shook her head to show that it was fine.

Mary Jane in this universe had a different personality from the Mary Jane in the first Spider-Man film. She had strong self-respect and did not like showing any weakness.

Like her fiery red hair, she gave off an impression of strength and power.

After the three of them separated, Benny arrived at his classroom.

Felicia hurried over with a nervous expression and whispered into Benny's ear, "Benny, are you busy this weekend?"

Her fair face was a little hot, making her look rosy-cheeked. "I just wanted to ask about the d— I mean, the Study Group..."

"Sorry, Felicia, I'm afraid I don't have time to attend the Study Group this weekend."

Benny shook his head and turned her down.

"All right." Felicia looked disappointed. Her fluffy blond hair seemed to droop as she retreated to her seat.

Benny looked at Felicia and suddenly thought of something.

Originally, Benny had planned to go buy equipment with Harry, but now Harry could not make it, so he could only handle it himself.

But he was not particularly knowledgeable about how to buy good, cheap instruments, nor did he have any connections.

Felicia, however, was different.

She might have connections. Besides, she was the daughter of the Hardy Foundation. Bringing her along might even get him a discount.

With that thought, Benny quickly called out to her.

"Wait, Felicia."

"What?" Felicia looked up in delight.

She thought Benny had changed his mind and looked at him with expectant eyes.

"Although I don't have much time for the Study Group..." Benny thought for a moment before saying, "I remember you're very interested in science, right?"

Felicia was somewhat surprised by that.

She was not actually interested in science. She was interested in a certain person.

Still, she nodded and said, "My mother thinks science is important. She's invested in several scientific laboratories."

Hearing that, Benny's gaze became eager as well. "So that means you know where to buy scientific instruments, components, and materials more cheaply?"

"Buying instruments?" Felicia froze for a moment.

How would she know anything about that?

After all, it was not something she was responsible for. Even her mother merely provided investment money and knew absolutely nothing about science.

But faced with Benny's question, Felicia did not hesitate for even a second. She immediately nodded hard.

"Of course! I know all about it!"
