"There's no hope."

Tony started wallowing in self-pity again.

If he hadn't lost his body, he would have loved to drown his sorrows in alcohol.

"They're always one step behind! And those two cowards, Namor and the White Queen! They actually surrendered to Hydra! Is there not a single man left in the entire Mutants world?!"

"Hey!"

Quicksilver said he felt offended.

Ant-Man was filled with unease, opening his mouth several times as if to speak, but unable to utter a word.

He felt like he was being roasted on a hot plate, overwhelmed by shame and self-blame, while also torn by the thought of his daughter's safety.

"I'm such a piece of trash, you bastard!"

He cursed sadly.

Ultimately, he didn't change anything and made a mess of everything, so maybe he doesn't deserve to be Super Hero.

But what could he do?

That's his daughter's life; how could he just ignore it?

"If Cassie knew that her father was a bastard who betrayed his friends for his own safety, would she be proud of me, or ashamed of me?"

At that moment, he heard Tony Stark chuckle, then take a half step back and look at everyone with Bingbing gaze.

"Ha, I dare say we have a Hydra informant among us."

When his gaze swept over Scott, Scott felt like an ant having its limbs torn apart.

But Tony didn't suspect him.

"Perhaps someone misses his sister, or maybe, like her father, his brain has been infected with a virus."

"What!"

Quicksilver and Viv immediately felt insulted.

You're doubting us!

"I'm just stating a reasonable speculation."

"Really? I didn't know your drunkard's brain could still work! Maybe it's you, like when Steve promised to hire a beautiful therapist to take care of you and your soft-assed worm!" Quicksilver immediately retorted.

Their argument escalated.

The depression caused by failure, and the renewed crisis of trust, created a rift between them like shards of glass.

Sharp and pointed.

Moreover, the rift was widening, and the flames of war were gradually spreading to all the heroes.

No one is perfect, and therefore, everyone has the reason and the possibility to surrender to Hydra.

"Stop arguing!"

T'Challa his voice. "Arguing won't solve anything."

But his words were met with no agreement, and everyone had become disheartened.

"This has nothing to do with you outsiders! You want to destroy our planet, so why are you pretending to be such a good Samaritan? Do you expect us to be grateful to you?"

"What?"

Tony was aggressive, relentlessly attacking like a mad dog. "Maybe you're the ones who are Hydra's informants!"

"You contacted Hydra first, and then you contacted us, didn't you?"

"I reckon you were probably already Hydra agents back then."

"Did the air conditioning freeze you stupid?!" T'Challa couldn't take it anymore, digging his claw into the collar of Tony's armor, roaring, "I'm not from your world, I have no reason to surrender to your Hydra! Hydra is nothing but a fart in my eyes!"

"Yeah?"

"Then tell me, where did your Ben Parker go?" Tony sneered. "If I remember correctly, Miles went to find you, Otto Parker, that Hydra Avengers, for advice, right? And you still say you have nothing to do with Hydra?"

Amadeus Cho couldn't listen anymore.

"Otto Parker no longer works for Hydra, which is why we're listening to his opinion. Besides, the only two fragments we have were stolen by them, so your anger is completely unfounded!"

"Damn it, they'll behave themselves if we lock them up in the Sakaar prison for a while!" Felicia was furious.

She had previously sympathized with Tony for being paralyzed by Captain Marvel, but now she felt relieved.

"Can someone unplug it?!"

"I'll smash him flat!" Looma picked up the hammer, ready to go.

A fight was about to break out, and Scott couldn't take it anymore. He covered his head and shouted, "Stop arguing! It's me!"

"I'm Hydra's informant!"

He used all his strength.

Before he could finish speaking, Tony slammed him against the wall with a powerful lunge.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."

Scott kept apologizing, letting Stark's fists pound into his face, "Cassie's in their hands, I couldn't help it..."

"But we had a chance to start over! Your daughter wouldn't be in danger!" Tony roared. "You ruined everything, you destroyed our hope! We had a chance to win!"

Actually, there is still an opportunity now.

Looma said, "Wouldn't it be fine if we just took their fragments?"

Her thought process was simple: if something could be solved by force, then it wasn't a problem.

Clearly, some people share her opinion.

The entire base's power system paused and crashed for a second. After restarting, all the computers in the base were hacked and connected to a single screen.

In the scene, a pitiful man is tied to a pillar; it is none other than Rick Jones, whom they all recognize.

Steve Rogers stood before him and said sternly, "Rick Jones, I can let bygones be bygones regarding your theft of Hydra's secret documents. Believe me, I just want to create a better world."

I've always believed in you.

Rick Jones looked up at him with a smile.

Steve smiled. "Very well, now all you need to do is say, ' Hail Hydra,' and I'll release you immediately."

But Rick Jones shook his head and said, "I believe you'll recover completely. You always manage to turn the tide. Because you're my hero, you're Captain America."

Steve Rogers ' expression turned sad.

The heroes watching all this on their screens were somewhat disdainful.

What does he want to do?

"Does he think Rick Jones would side with him?"

Tony said, "He thought he could use Rick Jones ' surrender to demoralize us, but no one here will surrender just because their life is threatened, and neither will Rick Jones!"

In the picture.

With a wave of Steve Rogers' hand, countless gun barrels emerged from the walls of the room, aimed at Rick Jones.

"He's going to publicly execute Rick Jones!" Hawkeye shouted.

"Rick Jones, I'll give you one more chance!"

Rick Jones laughed loudly, as if he were Gol D. Roger on the execution platform, and even started singing a ballad.

Everyone knows what his choice was.

"Say it! Hail Hydra!"

Steve used force.

He didn't want to kill anyone if he could.

But if it's for the sake of building a better New World, then everyone, even himself, can be sacrificed.

Rick Jones glanced at him, opened his mouth, and grinned:

"Avengers Assemble!"
