The radiance of the Bifrost faded.

The unconscious Loki lay on the ground, looking utterly disheveled. His silver armor was shattered, and strange eyes moved through the cracks in his body.

Then Ben, ghostlike, detached himself from Loki's body.

The Destroyer Armor on Loki's body automatically fell away, its pieces drifting down like withered petals.

After Loki fell unconscious, the Destroyer, deprived of its supply of life force, naturally stopped moving as well.

That made it easier for Ben to collect the pieces.

He transformed into Diamondhead once more and waved a massive hand. Crystals immediately gathered, wrapping up every fragment. Then he pressed his hand against the enormous crystal and sent the Destroyer's fragments underground.

Actually, this method of storing things carried some risks. It was fine on Earth, where the generally rudimentary equipment might not detect the crystals. But on Sakaar, those scavengers would practically dig three feet into the ground for anything valuable.

But Ben had no other choice.

He did not have any spatial storage equipment on him. Unless he kept the armor with him at all times, there was no other way.

He could store it inside Diamondhead's body, but then he would be unable to cancel the transformation for the time being.

"Sakaar isn't that peaceful. Conquering this place won't be easy."

Ben looked around.

The area was littered with machine parts. Mountains of discarded machinery covered Sakaar's originally red soil. There was barely a decent path anywhere; one careless step could send someone plunging into the scrap, only to be buried beneath abandoned components.

The air was not particularly unpleasant. Most of what ended up on Sakaar was mechanical waste, so it did not give off much of a stench.
