Zi Xuan is a source-spirit of the Primordial Source. In her early years, she played among source crystal stones with Chaos Child and warned Shen Hao that the Source-devouring Mo Fog preyed upon source-spirits by draining their source power. Trusting Shen Hao's protection, she guided him toward the Primordial Sanctuary where the remaining source-spirits hid 492.

Recognized for exceptional talent, Zi Xuan was later chosen alongside Hun Dun'er to receive Shen Hao's dual-spirit cultivation instruction.
