Mo Li and Rimuru leave Veldora’s cave, protect the Goblins from the Direwolves, and establish a settlement with both tribes as their subjects. After naming the monsters and helping them evolve, Rimuru and Mo Li turn to planning a celebration for their new community.

• Mo Li and Rimuru befriended Veldora, named him Veldora Tempest, and received the names Morax Tempest and Rimuru Tempest in return.
• Rimuru absorbed Veldora and the Infinite Prison, then she and Mo Li left the cave and entered the Jura Great Forest.
• Mo Li and Rimuru rescued a band of Goblins from human adventurers and agreed to help their village in exchange for food and shelter.
• After the Direwolves attacked, Mo Li killed the Wolf King, and Rimuru devoured him before Ran-ga and the pack submitted to them.
• Rimuru accepted the Goblins and Direwolves as subjects, organized them into teams, and began naming them with Mo Li’s help.
• Rimuru named Ran-ga, causing her to collapse into dormancy, while Mo Li used his magicules to help her recover and cared for her.

Mo Li and Rimuru traveled to the Dwarven Kingdom to recruit skilled workers, where they helped Kaijin overcome a sabotage plot and became entangled in his trial. Kaijin and the disgraced Besta agreed to work for Rimuru and Mo Li, setting the stage for Tempest to gain new allies.

• Mo Li challenged Rimuru’s rule against harming humans, and Rimuru revised it to let their people defend themselves against any threat.
• Mo Li and Rimuru traveled with Gobta to the Dwarven Kingdom, where they met Kaijin and learned that he had been set an impossible sword-forging task.
• Mo Li healed Kaijin’s injured friends, and Rimuru used her abilities to produce twenty swords and help Kaijin meet his quota.
• At Night Butterfly, Mo Li heard about nations’ interest in the Jura Great Forest, while a fairy’s divination showed possible fated partners for Rimuru and Mo Li.
• Besta insulted Rimuru and Gobta, and Kaijin struck him, leading Dwarven soldiers to arrest them and bring them before the Hero King.
• After a biased trial sentenced Kaijin and his companions to mine labor, the Hero King changed Kaijin’s punishment to exile and exposed Besta’s sabotage and bribery.
• The Hero King expelled Besta from the Dwarven Kingdom, and Rimuru asked Kaijin whether he would accept Besta into their faction.
• Kaijin forgave Besta and asked him to work for Rimuru and Mo Li, and Besta agreed to join them after preparing and bringing an apology.

Mo Li and Rimuru returned to the village, welcomed a large group of Goblins, and began building up their settlement. When Shizue arrived in the Jura Great Forest with Elaine’s party, Mo Li and Rimuru discovered that Ifrit’s power was killing her and arranged to seal her until they could treat her.

• Besta agreed to work for Mo Li and Rimuru after settling his debts, while Kaijin and the Michel Brothers left the Dwarf Kingdom with them and the Hero King ordered his shadow guard to watch the pair.
• Mo Li and Rimuru returned to find 960 Goblins seeking refuge, and Rimuru accepted them and named the newcomers while Mo Li arranged for them to learn trades and combat.
• Mo Li learned from Gamer that his growth, transmigration, and the world’s fate were connected, and that Rimuru was the world’s fixed Child of Destiny.
• After Rimuru woke from a weeklong sleep, Mo Li learned that Shizue and Elaine’s party had entered the Goblins’ territory, and Rimuru grew jealous when he showed concern for the women.
• Shizue used Ifrit’s power to kill a pack of giant ants, then collapsed as the energy inside her overwhelmed her body.
• Mo Li and Rimuru reached Elaine’s party, brought the weakened Shizue to the village, and learned that Rimuru could use Predator to consume Ifrit’s excess energy before sealing its source.
• Shizue told Mo Li and Rimuru how Leon had summoned her and implanted Ifrit in her, then agreed to be sealed until they could treat her and asked to live in their settlement afterward.
• Shizue said goodbye to Elaine, Bal, and Gid, who left to complete their mission and promised to return for her, while Rimuru returned their recovered equipment and promised to care for Shizue.

Mo Li helped Rimuru contain and devour Ifrit, then chose a dangerous evolution path and emerged as a powerful dragon. Their investigation of the devastated hunting grounds led them to the Great Ogres, who submitted to Mo Li and Rimuru, and the arc ended as the two entered a cave to treat an injured ogre.

• Mo Li helped Rimuru suppress Ifrit, then Rimuru devoured him while Mo Li sealed Shizue in a golden coffin and preserved her life.
• Rimuru took on a human form resembling Shizue, and Mo Li and Rimuru awkwardly apologized after he saw her naked.
• Mo Li chose the risky Rock Archon Dragon God evolution path and emerged from his stone cocoon in a powerful dragon form.
• Mo Li and Rimuru learned that the Pigheaded Tribe had devastated the hunting grounds and destroyed the Great Ogres' village.
• Rimuru subdued Benimaru and the other Great Ogres, who explained that demonfolk had masterminded the Pigheaded Tribe's attack.
• Mo Li withstood the Great Ogres' combined assault, revealed his overwhelming power, and accepted their submission to himself and Rimuru.
