Mo Li defeated Laplace’s group and sealed the corrupted Azhdaha before returning toward Tempest with White Crane, Brown Crane, Du Lu, and Blue Fur Ball. Meanwhile, Rimuru prepared Tempest to face the Great Storm Ogre as Clayman pursued his own schemes, leaving the battle underway.

• Laplace, Tia, and Forthman subdued Azhdaha with Clayman’s necklace, but Mo Li arrived and confronted them.
• Mo Li defeated Laplace, turned Tia and Forthman to stone, and sealed all three before trying to free Azhdaha from the curse.
• Azhdaha attacked Mo Li, who fought him in dragon form and then imprisoned him with a sealing formation after exhausting much of his strength.
• Mo Li accepted Blue Fur Ball and promised to name her, White Crane, Brown Crane, and Du Lu before taking them toward Tempest.
• Rimuru learned from Dreya that the Great Storm Ogre, Veldora’s magicule-born son, was approaching Tempest with Sky Sharks.
• Rimuru sent Benimaru to lead the subjugation campaign and kept Milim away from the preparations with food, though Milim warned that Tempest might lose without a Special A-rank fighter.
• Benimaru’s army faced the Great Storm Ogre and thirteen Sky Sharks as the battle began, while Clayman summoned Myulan and ordered her to report on the monster.

Mo Li returned to Tempest badly injured after confronting The Middle Clown Chain, and Rimuru lifted Azhdaha’s curse while Milim helped defeat the Great Storm Ogre. Mo Li decided to pursue awakening as a Demon King, while Xiao’s expansion across the Jura Great Forest brought him closer to Tempest.

• Myulan reported to Clayman that the Great Storm Ogre had been released, while Mo Li sensed danger and hurried toward Tempest.
• Benimaru and Tempest’s fighters struggled against the Great Storm Ogre until Milim defeated it with Dragon Star Diffusion Blast after Mo Li arrived.
• Mo Li waited for White Crane, Brown Crane, and Du Lu, then met Carrion and questioned Fabio, who implicated a masked majin connected to the Middle Clown Chain.
• Mo Li told Rimuru and Milim that Laplace, Tia, and Forthman had cursed and controlled Azhdaha, and that he had sealed Azhdaha away after their battle.
• Milim recognized Clayman’s aura on Azhdaha’s necklace, and Rimuru agreed to use Great Sage to remove the curse.
• Milim broke Azhdaha’s sealing pillars and subdued him, while Rimuru lifted his curse, and Mo Li then decided he needed to become an Awakened Demon King after his fight with Laplace exposed his vulnerability.
• Mo Li learned from Souei’s letter that Xiao had conquered over sixty percent of the Jura Great Forest, and he set out for Tempest with Rimuru, Milim, and Azhdaha.

Mo Li prepared Tempest for his departure, then traveled to Blumund in search of a conflict that could help him awaken as a Demon King. Meanwhile, Milim recruited six demons for Tempest, and Rimuru set out for Englasia as a rebellion in Darcus came to light.

• Xiao returned to Tempest at the head of the Dragon Lizard army, but Mo Li later suppressed the black aura endangering him and helped him survive.
• Mo Li named Du Lu Moon Carver, Brown Crane Mountain Shaper, White Crane Cloud Retainer, and White Crane’s disciple Ganyu, then gave the group Immortal Arts Inheritances and contracts to protect Tempest after he left.
• Mo Li refused Xiao’s request to join him and departed Tempest alone, leaving Rimuru and the city’s leaders to prepare for his return.
• In Blumund, Mo Li asked Fitts to gather intelligence about wars and paid him with powerful weapons, while Milim persuaded Guy to release six High Demon Generals for Tempest.
• Milim told Rimuru that she and Ari were her only real friends, then left to warn Demon Lords who might threaten Tempest.

• Kagurazaka Yuuki ordered Kazarim to watch Rimuru as Rimuru traveled toward Englasia, while Mo Li prepared to leave Blumund for Daxia with Gamer.
• Shion clashed with Sophia at Tempest’s reception, but Xiao deflected Shion’s magicule bullet and defended Morax before the Beast Kingdom delegation entered Tempest.
• Mo Li entered the Holy Imperial Nation disguised as a woman, met Luminas, and stayed at her palace before departing for Daxia.
• Rimuru met Kagurazaka Yuuki, received a teaching position at Shizue’s school, and learned about Shizue’s students.
• Mo Li watched Booker Mill’s rebellion against Cassius Mill unfold, and the Gamer collected enough souls as Cassius’s forces defeated the rebels.
• Mo Li began his evolution in a forest, became a Divine Species, and received new skills, but Morax’s inherited divinity overwhelmed his other traits.
