Background
Swire is a senior superintendent of the Lungmen Guard Department. She openly aspires to become the Guard Department’s Commissioner. 145 150 151
She regularly works alongside Chen Hui-chieh and Hoshiguma, with the three forming a close but argumentative investigative team. During an investigation into thefts and assistance delivered to Lungmen’s slums, Swire gradually becomes entangled with the suspected “Lungmen Thief,” Pardofelis. 151 153
Appearance
Swire is a Feline woman with long, wavy golden hair, emerald-like eyes, and a long tail. She carries herself with the polish of a well-bred young lady while favoring a practical Guard Department role over her family’s business. 143 145 220

Personality
Swire is ambitious, diligent, and intensely invested in her work. She voluntarily returns early from time off, accepts overtime, and wants to rise to Commissioner so she can strengthen the Guard Department. 150 151
She is also sharp-tempered, especially around Chen, whom she frequently calls a “damn dragon.” Their arguments are routine, but Swire still respects Chen’s authority during operations and works closely with her in a crisis. 151 154 156
Her investigation of the Lungmen Thief forces her to confront the divide between duty and compassion. Seeing the slums’ dependence on the thief’s stolen supplies leaves her uncertain whether arresting the thief would condemn vulnerable residents during winter. 155 160 163

- Chen acknowledges Swire’s exceptional planning and command ability despite their frequent bickering. 156
Investigation and Intelligence Work

Story Role / Major Arcs
Lungmen Thief Investigation
Pardofelis follows Swire home and repeatedly infiltrates her villa, stealing small personal items and supplies. Swire investigates the disappearances herself, eventually confirms Pardofelis’s involvement through surveillance footage, and begins suspecting that her apparent friend is tied to the Lungmen Thief case. 143 146 150 160
Swire’s certainty is complicated by the thief’s actions in the slums. Her investigation reveals that stolen supplies are helping residents survive, prompting Swire to question what catching the thief would cost Lungmen’s poorest communities. 155 163
Black Street Ambush
While investigating the slums with Chen and Hoshiguma, Swire becomes trapped in an organized ambush. She devises the group’s initial escape plan, fights with her chain hammer, and is thrown clear by Chen when Originium bombs are dropped into the alley. 156 157
Pardofelis freezes and disarms the bombs, saving all three officers. Swire is grateful but immediately presses Pardofelis about why she was present; Pardofelis evades the question and escapes. 157 158
Reconciliation with Pardofelis
After Pardofelis steals a piano from Swire’s family business and later admits to infiltrating Governor Wei Yenwu’s residence, Swire’s anger turns into fear for Pardofelis’s safety. She attempts to take Pardofelis to the Guard Department so she can survive the political consequences. 190 195
As Pardofelis explains her abilities, motives, and intention to establish a legitimate agency, Swire becomes increasingly open to investing in her or acting as her future “boss.” Their relationship develops into a blend of rivalry, trust, teasing, and mutual concern. 196 197 199
Lungmen Pier Smuggling Case
Swire investigates a contraband-smuggling operation tied to Lungmen Pier 3 alongside Chen, Hoshiguma, and Lin Yuhsia. She and Pardofelis pursue the same criminal network separately, exchanging information while treating the operation as an informal competition. 211 213
Although Pardofelis reaches several targets first, Swire independently locates the gang hideout and mobilizes the Guard Department to handle the formal response. 213 215
Agency Opening and Griseo’s Departure
After Pardofelis secures a storefront, Swire joins the gathering celebrating the opening of her agency and Griseo’s departure from Lungmen. She receives Griseo’s painting, shares photos with Chen and Hoshiguma as a return gift, and later helps introduce Eden to the group. 216 217 219 221
