"Bronya is joining the team too. Let's leave here, it's getting dark."

Yu Luo looked at the sunset on the horizon. So much had happened today. From breaking out of the light rail station in the morning, encountering the Titan and Bronya, fighting them, and then chasing them to the ME Corp building. It was only now that they had successfully freed Bronya from the machines' control. With everything resolved, the exhaustion from multiple battles washed over Yu Luo, and he desperately wanted to find a place to rest properly.

"Reporting, Officer, the area around the ME Corp building has been cleared. We can rest here," Bronya suggested expressionlessly.

Yu Luo stepped forward and patted Bronya's head. Bronya tilted her head slightly, confused by Yu Luo's action. Yu Luo bent down, looked directly into Bronya's gray eyes, and said with a smile, "From now on, we're all companions. Just call me brother, no need to be so formal."

"Sister complex?" the System said contemptuously in Yu Luo's mind.

"What don't I have a complex about? As long as they're good-looking, I'll have a complex about anything for you, even Cubas."

"As expected of you, so perverted!"

"Brother..." Bronya thought for a moment before tentatively saying the word. Yu Luo's heart nearly melted. He patted Bronya's head again. Bronya squinted her eyes, seeming to enjoy the affectionate gesture.

Kiana, standing nearby, excitedly ran in front of Bronya and pointed at herself, saying, "Then Bronya, call me Sister Kiana from now on!"

However, Bronya directly refused Kiana's request: "Bronya has detected that Kiana's intelligence is on the same level as a paramecium. Proposal rejected!"

"Why?!" Kiana shouted indignantly. "Why can she call you brother, but I can't?!"

"After testing, Kiana has a 0 in reading comprehension and refuses to communicate," Bronya said expressionlessly. She turned and followed Mei Raiden, leaving Kiana behind to wail:

"Ah... you damned little brat!"

"Paramecium!"

"Little brat!"

The two bickered like children. Of course, Bronya's face remained impassive, and her tone was devoid of emotion. It was precisely this expression that further ignited Kiana's anger.

Even during dinner, they were still in this state. Yu Luo and Mei Raiden exchanged glances, seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes, and could only sigh deeply.

Fortunately, there had been too many battles today, and Kiana quickly grew tired, unconsciously leaning on Yu Luo's shoulder and falling asleep. Bronya also slept with her head on Mei's lap. The lounge finally quieted down.

Yu Luo tiptoed and carried Kiana to the bed, gently laying her down. On the other side, Mei Raiden also carried Bronya to the bed and laid her down next to Kiana, completely filling the single bed.

Yu Luo looked around the lounge. There was also a sofa available for resting. Clearly, only one of Yu Luo or Mei Raiden could occupy it.

"Alright then, be careful," Mei Raiden said gently without further ado, warming his heart. He nodded and closed the lounge door behind him.

Sitting on the edge of the riddled rooftop, Yu Luo quietly gazed at the silent Changkong City. There were no lights symbolizing human civilization, only the long-dead walking dead, and occasionally, giant monsters appearing under the deep night sky.

"Having a post-nut clarity moment again?" the System chimed in Yu Luo's mind.

Yu Luo took out a pack of cigarettes he had "borrowed" from the lounge, took a deep drag, and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke before slowly replying, "Yeah."

There was no one else on the rooftop besides him. He liked talking to the System, perhaps it made him feel less like he was hallucinating due to a split personality.

"I keep wondering if I'll wake up tomorrow and realize these past two days were just a dream," Yu Luo chuckled, the light of his cigarette flickering. "Kiana, Mei Raiden, Bronya... maybe they're just figments of my imagination, created to satisfy a shut-in's hormones."

"Who can say for sure about such things," the System said, uncharacteristically refraining from arguing or mocking Yu Luo. "Perhaps the mastermind behind the Honkai is Nyarlathotep, or maybe you and I are just a bubble in Yog-Sothoth's existence?"

"Heh, would the unknowable Outer Gods care about two insignificant beings like us?" Yu Luo laughed, but his mood had improved significantly. "That's true. Whether it's real or not, just do what you want to do. Why overthink things?"

As if responding to Yu Luo's mood, the sky suddenly began to rain down cherry blossoms, swirling into the air with the wind. Yu Luo reached out his hand, and a petal of snow-white cherry blossom drifted down onto his palm. A bright and magnificent flash of blade light flickered past Yu Luo's eyes.

"What was that!" Yu Luo quickly turned his head. He saw a monster, easily two stories tall, collapse with a roar. A young girl in a kimono gracefully sheathed her sword. She had a pair of long ears on her head. The night was too dark to see more details.

The girl seemed to have noticed Yu Luo on the rooftop. Standing at the boundary between moonlight and shadow, her lips moved slightly, as if she were saying something. However, the distance was too great, and her voice couldn't reach him. Fortunately, Yu Luo had learned lip-reading for some reason and could understand what she was saying.

"Long time no see?" Yu Luo was confused. He was absolutely certain he had never met this girl before, nor did he know where this phrase came from. After she spoke, the kimono-clad girl with long ears vanished. Yu Luo could only keep the question bottled up inside.

"Forget it, let's go back to rest. Tomorrow will probably be another day of fighting." Yu Luo stood up from the edge of the rooftop and walked towards the lounge, thinking to himself, "I hope we can safely leave Changkong City."

"The United Nations issued a statement today, confirming the outbreak of infectious disease BH in Changkong City..." On the plaza, the giant screen TV was still dutifully broadcasting the news, but the viewers below were no longer humans, but an endless stream of walking dead.

"Dead things, get out of the way! Hurry up!" Kiana sprinted forward, firing her Electromagnetic Hand Cannon at the center of the street. An orange beam erupted from the muzzle, piercing straight through the entire street. The Zombie Girls blocking its path were all torn to shreds.

Mei Raiden and Yu Luo ran behind Kiana, as if something terrifying were chasing them.

"RUMBLE!" The small building behind the three collapsed with a roar. A massive sphere shot towards them unstoppable. The three dodged the giant ball in a panic. The giant screen, which had been broadcasting the news, was directly pierced by the sphere.

"ROAR!" A non-human roar sounded from behind the three. A monster, easily two stories tall, emerged from the ruins of the collapsed building behind them. It had thick limbs and a white body with pink markings. It didn't look ferocious, even a bit cute, but the three fleeing for their lives knew how terrifying it was.

"Damn it, they've been chasing us all this way, why won't they give up!" Kiana said in exasperation.

"Kiana, be careful!" Mei Raiden warned. The giant monster behind them ignored the concrete buildings completely. The elevated pedestrian walkway in mid-air was ruthlessly broken, and debris flew out, nearly hitting Kiana.

"This pervert who keeps following the girls!"
