Sun Hang became an Anomaly Hunter after surviving the Bloody Mary encounter and discovering his connection to Taotie. He joined Yang Qi and Wang Xiyi to investigate a cemetery anomaly where they found themselves under a Blood Moon from the past and encountered wolves mutating into anomalies and unrecordable silhouettes.

• Sun Hang signed a debt contract to become Temporary Investigator 0420 and was sent with 0398 and 0401 to investigate disappearances at the Abandoned Amusement Park.
• At the Haunted House, Sun Hang and the Peacekeepers found a robed woman whose crimson mist immobilized the squad, but Sun Hang approached her and stopped the mist by knocking away her lamp.
• Sun Hang entered the passage behind the painting and found Xiao Jun suspended above a blood-filled pool, where Bloody Mary’s vines were draining her.
• A winged hunter attacked Bloody Mary, and after seven days of observation, officials confirmed that Sun Hang had been infected by Taotie without losing his sense of self.
• Sun Hang passed Yang Qi’s assessment, became an official Anomaly Hunter, and learned that his debt was forgiven and Wang Xiyi was Tianfu City’s other remaining hunter.
• After Sun Hang’s nameplate turned gold and he fell into a coma, Yang Qi recruited him to investigate South City Public Cemetery, where a time-related anomaly had made people disappear.
• Sun Hang, Yang Qi, Wang Xiyi, and 0401 found the cemetery replaced by barren hills and saw a Blood Moon from sixty-five years earlier, which amplified anomalous abilities and infection.
• The group escaped mutating wolves by crossing the anomalous boundary, then approached silhouettes that could not be recorded and watched one change from a young man into a skeleton when Sun Hang touched it.

Sun Hang hunted down the Tai Sui cult and acquired J2796, then the Blood Moon anomaly displaced the cemetery search teams and left Yang Qi missing. As Sun Hang and Yang Lian sought a way to recover the missing, a hostage standoff at the air force base drew them into the escalating crisis.

• Sun Hang rescued Wang Xiyi from mutating during the Blood Moon, then followed a strange scent to an infected young woman and discovered her ties to a cult devoted to Tai Sui.
• Sun Hang traced the cult to its Saint, killed him and the parasites attacking him, then dug up Tai Sui and fought the enormous anomaly until he pinned its body with the Aberrant Long Blade.
• Researchers identified the blade as a probable artifact anomaly and assigned it serial number J2796, while Sun Hang discussed its origins and resisted pressure from Lu Hongming to enter the South City Public Cemetery anomaly.
• Sun Hang visited J2796 in containment and learned that its gravitational field was limited, then resonated with it again as the Blood Moon and its zone vanished, leaving 1,755 searchers, including Yang Qi, missing.
• Sun Hang and Yang Lian investigated the returned cemetery personnel and found evidence that their time differed from the outside world, while Wang Xiyi prepared a separate beacon effort in case the Special Operations Team withheld information.
• After the Management Committee refused to intervene, Sun Hang announced that he, Yang Lian, and Wang Xiyi would go to Longquan Post, where the Special Operations Team had seized the air base commander and forced fighter jets to launch.
• Sun Hang persuaded soldiers to admit him and Wang Xiyi to the base by suggesting the hijacker might be infected, and an officer explained that the Special Operations Team leader was holding the commander on the fourth floor.

Sun Hang and the others prepared for a predicted Spacetime Anomaly, then fought through the returning anomalies that engulfed Tianfu City. Sun Hang destroyed a shadow anomaly and learned the missing people had returned, but Eternal Night still threatened the city and he remained troubled by the three monkey statues.

• Sun Hang negotiated with Ye Xuan, brought the missing people and Council Representative to Longquanyi Air Force Base, and used the Crystal Ball to recover the coming anomaly's time as 1:15 a.m. on May 20.
• When the Spacetime Anomaly began, people vanished from the camp and anomalies reappeared across Shu Province, so Sun Hang led a team toward South City Bridge as Eternal Night returned.
• Sun Hang entered an anomalous Office Building, destroyed its false Bing Liu San Si with coffee, and tried to break free by smashing through its repeating floors before a cursed stairwell returned him to the rooftop.
• Sun Hang found his helicopter wrecked and fought Ye Jiu, a hunter searching for Ye Xuan, before a vast shadow anomaly began spreading across Tianfu City.
• Sun Hang and Ye Jiu discovered that attacks only fed the sphere above the city, so Sun Hang arranged a province-wide light array to expose the anomaly's ground-based source.
• The light array made the ground shadows tangible, and Sun Hang bound and absorbed them until three monkey statues appeared and made the shadows evaporate.
• Song Yarong reported that the people lost to the Spacetime Anomaly had returned and most city anomalies were gone, but Eternal Night remained and could force an evacuation of Tianfu City or Shu Province.
• Sun Hang asked Song Yarong whether she knew of statue-type anomalies shaped like three monkeys.

Sun Hang accepted the role of principal for a new anomaly academy while the Eternal Night’s Breeding Ground remained undiscovered. As Longyanlei threatened Tianfu City and anomalies erupted across Shu Province, Sun Hang left to investigate the crisis’s source.

• Sun Hang learned that the office-building anomaly might have been symbiotic with another anomaly before attackers ambushed the group, critically wounding Song Yarong, whom Sun Hang saved with mycelium.
• Sun Hang returned home, heard Wang Xiyi’s warning to leave Shu Province, and chose to stay, after the lockdown began, he discovered he could read memories and killed an infected rioter at a supply station.
• Yang Qi identified the infected man as the last fugitive test subject of E-328, Blood-Eroding Slime Mold, and brought Sun Hang to a briefing in Baqu City about finding and destroying the Eternal Night’s Breeding Ground.
• Professor Li offered Sun Hang the principalship of a new anomaly academy, and Sun Hang accepted before Hunters were assigned to track anomaly movements across Shu Province.
• After Yin Xiang asked Sun Hang to infect him and Sun Hang refused, a military call reported that Longyanlei was moving toward Tianfu City, and the Disaster Response Committee approved an operation to divert it using Bao Si’s charm.
• Bao Si turned Longyanlei away from the city, and Sun Hang and Wang Xiyi fought ghouls and a Giant Ghoul along its route while other sectors came under attack.
• When Hunters sent to Longyanlei went missing, Sun Hang chose to investigate the crisis’s source, and Ye Jiu took over the Giant Ghoul fight as Sun Hang attached himself to a departing helicopter.
