At that moment, Uchiha Tunan and the other two were sprinting into the distance.
In another half hour, they would reach a small town on the border of the Land of Fire.
Konoha ninja were stationed there year-round.
While running, Uchiha Tunan had already noticed a puddle by the roadside ahead.
The Chakra within that puddle stood out far too clearly in Uchiha Tunan's eyes.
Just as the three passed by the puddle,
a figure suddenly leaped out of it, wielding a katana as he slashed at Chigo on Uchiha Tunan's back.
Just as the katana was about to strike Chigo's neck,
Kakashi reacted swiftly, drawing his short blade to block the incoming katana.
He immediately shouted coldly, "Go on ahead."
The two then began to clash.
Although Uchiha Tunan knew Chigo could not possibly be killed by some mere rogue ninja, he still inwardly thought it was a pity.
Without looking back, he ran into the distance.
"Tunan, aren't you worried about your companion?" Chigo, on Uchiha Tunan's back, asked calmly.
Uchiha Tunan fell silent for a moment before saying evenly, "Kakashi is very strong. He'll definitely defeat him."
If Kakashi really died, Uchiha Tunan could only carve a wooden statue for him and pray before it every day.
Chigo nodded and smiled faintly.
"Your strength should be greater, shouldn't it? After all, you've awakened the Three Tomoe.
Sometimes, there's no need to hide your abilities."
Uchiha Tunan's heart skipped a beat, but his expression remained unchanged. "Kakashi is very competitive."
Chigo pondered for a moment. "Is that so? You really do consider your companions."
The two continued onward for about ten minutes when the surrounding mist gradually thickened.
Through the vision of a nearby white dove, Uchiha Tunan saw the Kirigakure rogue ninja waiting ahead to ambush them.
