When Li Ming returned indoors with Cosmo and Griseo, the fragrant steamed buns had just come out of the oven.
After the three of them excitedly finished breakfast, just as Li Ming was about to take some breakfast to Hua, Cosmo and Griseo put their homemade Alolan Stoutland buns into the Klein Smart Steamer.
At first, Li Ming didn't pay it any mind. After all, Alolan Stoutland buns were still buns, and there was no rule against steaming them in the steamer. So, Li Ming paid it no mind and went to help Chrono with the cake bases they had made yesterday.
If nothing unexpected happened, something unexpected was about to happen.
As Griseo and Cosmo excitedly watched the steamer, anticipating the Alolan Stoutland buns breaking free, Li Ming sensed something was wrong. His heart sank as he watched the steamer suddenly start to hum, like a ticking time bomb.
Even though the Klein Smart Steamer was trying its best to restrain itself, a muffled sound came from within. The lid, which looked like a head with a display screen, was blown off by the steam.
It's over. Oh, great. The top of its head has been blown off.
Li Ming quickly moved Cosmo and Griseo to a strategic fallback position.
As they ran, he yelled, "Chrono, Hua, come help! The steamer is going to explode!"
Hearing the commotion, Chrono looked over. Li Ming, with the two little ones, brushed past him. Before he could react, with a bang, the steamer exploded.
Li Ming and the two were blown flying, luckily landing on the sofa. Chrono turned back, looking at someone who ran off without him, and then shouted for him to come look.
Although Chrono's face was blackened by the explosion, with two burnt Alolan Stoutland buns on his eyes, Li Ming could still feel Chrono's malicious gaze?
"Hmph hmph hmph... Hehehehe, Hahahaha!"
Chrono suddenly burst into laughter. A clown would be overjoyed, a bat would weep, and even the Uchiha Mad Laughing Four would call him senior.
"Brother Li Ming, Brother Chrono is angry."
No need to remind me, I can see that.
"Brother Li Ming, I'll leave Chrono to you. Griseo, let's go check on our Alolan Stoutland buns."
Heh, you call me brother when trouble arises, Cosmo, you little brat!
But neither of them could escape. The enraged Chrono unleashed his AOE damage.
So when Hua entered after filling the pit, she saw a scene of chaos. The kitchen was pitch black, with Chrono chasing Cosmo and Li Ming, breathing fire as he pursued them. Griseo rode on Cosmo's back, shouting, "Roar, Cosmo!"
The room was a mess, with shapeless Alolan Stoutland buns scattered everywhere and a large hole blasted in the window.
In the end, Hua had to step in, placing two pagodas on the heads of Cosmo and Li Ming. Otherwise, those two would never have behaved.
"We were wrong!" Li Ming and Cosmo admitted their mistakes obediently, though they looked rather comical with pagodas on their heads.
Hua suppressed her anger. "It's good that you know you were wrong. I just finished filling the large pit in the backyard, and you're causing trouble again?"
Seeing how miserable they looked, Hua found it hard to bring herself to punish them further.
"We'll let this slide for now. Let's clean up the house first, or we won't have much time to prepare for the banquet."
"Yes, Commander Hua."
The two of them then carried the remains of the Klein Smart Steamer to the middle of the dirt pile in the backyard. The other smart robots surrounded the steamer, making the scene even more peculiar.
Seeing that the two had calmed down, Hua didn't say anything more and took Li Ming and Cosmo to the basement warehouse to find materials to repair the window.
Griseo and Chrono were responsible for painting the walls. It took them half an hour to finish. Hua wiped the sweat from her forehead, wondering why, even though it was only an hour, she felt more exhausted than when she was filling the pit.
Perhaps it was due to mental fatigue.
After reorganizing, the group continued with the banquet preparations. With the two troublemakers out of the way, the banquet preparations proceeded smoothly and rapidly.
"We don't have a steamer anymore. We'll have to see if the old steamer in the basement is still usable. Who wants to go?"
"I'll go!" ("It's definitely me!")
The two said in unison, then paused, looking at each other. They hadn't expected both of them to think the same way.
Hua rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache coming on, worse than when she had a mental collapse.
In the end, Chrono went to get the steamer because Li Ming and Cosmo didn't know where it was.
The five of them prepared for nearly an entire afternoon and finally got everything ready. However, with the previous incident, the Alolan Stoutland buns and the Magical Girl Sweetheart Pie would never see the light of day.
Let alone come out of the oven, they couldn't even be seen. Hua and Chrono joined forces to deal with those things, leaving not even ashes behind.
After filling the Golden Courtyard with decorations, they all collapsed on the sofa, too tired to move.
By this time, people were slowly returning. The first was Su. Su, who rarely had time off, came back for the banquet. Su, with his eyes squinted, saw their meticulous preparations and smiled, "You've all worked hard."
But no one had the energy to respond. He wasn't bothered and chatted with Mobius, who followed him.
When Li Ming and Cosmo saw Mobius, they exchanged glances, understanding each other's intentions, and immediately reached a consensus.
"Mobius, we found a big surprise in the backyard!"
"We believe you'll definitely like it."
"Hurry and go see, or you'll miss your chance."
The two of them sang each other's praises, leading Mobius to the backyard. They didn't even feel the soreness in their bodies. Su also followed out of curiosity and saw a grave in the backyard, ah, a dirt pile.
Looking at the dirt pile, surrounded by Klein Smart Furnishings like pallbearers, with the steamer lying on top of the dirt pile in the center, Mobius's originally calm face froze. Her slender white hand suddenly clenched her sleeve, her face darkening.
Su came over and his expression changed. His eyes suddenly narrowed. What was this arrangement that exuded such a strange ritualistic aura? It looked so much like a burial.
After observing his surroundings, Su grasped the general situation. A flicker of understanding crossed his face, a faint smile playing on his lips. So that's how it is. He glanced back at Li Ming and Cosmo, who exchanged a look before quietly high-fiving.
As if sensing Su's gaze, the two of them stole a glance at him before simultaneously whistling, pretending nothing had happened. Then, they slowly shuffled towards the house.
"Who is it!"
A chilling aura instantly enveloped the backyard. The two of them bolted. Su, it was unclear when, had already vanished, leaving Mobius alone, a dark shadow faintly emerging behind her.
By this time, most of the Golden Courtyard's residents had arrived. Even Kevin and Mei, who often worked overtime, were present on time, well, along with Mei.
Li Ming greeted Mei. This was the first time Li Ming had seen Mei in the Elysian Realm, but he wasn't surprised. After all, he had already seen far more unexpected things. However, he remembered that Yae's model was the same as Mei's, which meant Yae was a potential wife in the future!
When Apponia arrived at the Golden Courtyard with a group of children from the orphanage, Li Ming spotted a twelve-year-old white-haired boy. The moment he saw Kevin, the boy ran over and hugged Kevin's leg, shouting, "Daddy!"
Just as I thought. Li Ming crossed his arms, his mouth twitching. My Elysian Realm is truly abnormal. When Kevin carried Adam to meet Mei, Adam was about to call her "Mommy," but Mei grabbed his face. "Don't call me Mommy, call me big sister!"
Mei pinched Adam's face. The child's smooth, soft cheeks were undeniably adorable, making one want to play with them. "No~ Mommy is~ the same age as~ Apponia Mommy~, so I can't~ call you big sister!"
Adam had clearly inherited Kevin's personality perfectly, which only made Mei want to tease him more. After pinching him for a while, she finally let go.
"Oh my, isn't this Ming? Long time no see!" A cute girl with slightly curly, long pink hair suddenly appeared in front of Li Ming. Her maid outfit accentuated her graceful figure, and her pointed ears paired with large pink eyes made her look incredibly endearing.
"Respond to me, Elysia!" The thought suddenly flashed through Li Ming's mind, and he almost blurted it out. But just as the words "respond to me" reached his lips, he stopped himself, offering a smile instead. "Elysia, long time no see."
Hearing Li Ming's response, Elysia smiled faintly. As she passed by him, a gust of fragrant breeze followed. "I heard you, Ming, so I'm responding to you!"
Li Ming suddenly froze, his eyes widening. He looked at the girl's long ponytail swaying behind her and felt as if tears were welling up in his eyes. He wiped his cheek. "Tears? What's going on?"
"Ah, is this Adam? He's gotten so big?" Elysia reached out and pinched Adam's cheek. Adam, with his face being pulled, looked somewhat helpless, as if he was thinking, I'm so young, yet I have to endure suffering beyond my years.
But he still politely replied, albeit a bit indistinctly, "Elysia~ sis."
Hmm? Mei's brow furrowed. After finally letting Adam go, she angrily pinched his cheek again. "Why are you calling Elysia 'sis'? Shouldn't you call her 'auntie'?"
"Elysia sis said so. Little brothers and sisters all call her that."
"Then why didn't you listen when I told you to call me big sister?" Mei had no real solution for her son, so after pinching him once, she stopped bothering with him.
"Then you go play with Elysia sis over there!" She took Adam from Kevin's arms, handed him to Elysia, and then pulled Kevin aside to chat.
"Ah, Mei, you just wanted to chat with Kevin alone, didn't you!" Elysia seemed to see through everything. She took Adam's hand and led him away to play. "Come on, little Adam!"
"Hi everyone, the greatest magician, Vill-V, makes her grand entrance!"
"Sister Vill-V, wait for me! You're too exaggerated!"
With a loud bang, fireworks rained down from the sky, accompanied by dazzling lights. A tall figure in a brown tailcoat descended from above, her tea-colored hair adorned with gear-shaped hairpins. "This is the latest invention of the greatest magician, Vill-V – the Party Atmosphere Light!"
"Sister Vill-V, wait for me! This thing is too heavy!"
A girl with cat ears and revealing attire, carrying a machine taller than herself, appeared at the entrance. This girl was Pardo.
"Sister Vill-V, hurry and help! Eek, it's falling!" Pardo finally managed to bring the machine inside. As soon as she set it down, it began to tilt. Pardo tried to steady it, but she couldn't hold it up.
Li Ming reached out to help steady the machine. After they both worked together to place it in a corner, Pardo breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness for Brother Li Ming, otherwise it would have been trouble."
"It's nothing, just a small problem." Li Ming rubbed his chin, observing the machine for a while. He felt that some parts of it were strangely familiar, though he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination. Li Ming felt that this machine bore a strong resemblance to the ones lined up in the backyard.
"Brother Li Ming!" Rin ran over and suddenly hugged Li Ming's arm. Sakura, wearing a short jacket and shorts that revealed her long legs, had a fair neck visible beneath her headphones, and her pink hair was adorned with a fox-ear headband.
Rin, on the other hand, had light orange hair and short hair, her short T-shirt and skirt exuding youthful vitality.
"Eden said she's still on the train and will be late, so we should start without her. Ah, Eden's call! Everyone, come quickly! It's Eden's call!"
Elysia, holding Adam, had him show the phone to everyone. Eden, dressed in a magnificent gown, appeared on screen. The background was a train carriage, and the night sky could be seen through the train window.
Her wine-red hair cascaded over her shoulders. "Good evening, everyone. We've suddenly encountered a thunderstorm, and the train might be delayed. Please don't wait for me; you can start eating."
With that, the screen went black, indicating she had hung up. Li Ming felt a sense of déjà vu.
Meanwhile, Vill-V had activated the Party Atmosphere Light she had created. The room was filled with light pollution, even Mobius in the backyard was blinded by it.
Slightly suppressing her resentment, she walked into the room and saw the Party Atmosphere Light, which looked incredibly familiar, singing, dancing, rapping, and playing basketball inside. It was blindingly bright.
Everyone in the room, including the children, had tacitly put on sunglasses.
But no matter how intense the light was, it couldn't pierce the darkness enveloping Mobius. "Vill-V!"
At this moment, the brightest star in the room, Vill-V, looked utterly bewildered. "Ahaha, did someone call me?"
Then she noticed everyone was keeping their distance. In the center stage, she saw a green-haired woman in a white coat, shrouded in a ball of dark energy. Mobius's eyes gleamed with ferocity.
Upon seeing Mobius, Vill-V's expression faltered. "Ah, Mobius, wait a moment, I can explain, wait, don't..."
"Vill-V, you're finished!"
