Background / History
Hua trained Li Ming in the Elysian Realm before his arrival in Qinghe City. Her training was physically punishing enough that Li Ming exhausted his stamina and regarded her as one of the principal reasons he could not remain there indefinitely. She taught him the Cunxin Fist Technique, an ancient martial art that strengthens the body and physical fitness. 1 4
After noticing Li Ming's rapid gains in fitness and inch-punch proficiency, Hua intensified his training and sought to pass on as much of her knowledge as possible. Li Ming repeatedly tried to evade her sessions by hiding with Apponia or leaving the Elysian Realm. 6
When Apponia asked Hua to assist at her convent, Hua confronted Li Ming over his earlier disappearance and challenged him to a fight. She stopped once she recognized that he had suffered internal injuries, then worked alongside him to feed, supervise, and put the children to bed. 7
Hua later helped turn the convent into an informal martial-arts space. She prepared breakfast with Li Ming, sparred with him in the courtyard, and became a role model to the children as they began practicing martial arts. 8
At the Golden Courtyard, Hua continued serving as both disciplinarian and organizer. She gave Li Ming morning instruction, demonstrated advanced Cunxin techniques, repaired practical problems around the property, and de-escalated the chaos caused by Li Ming and Cosmo. 10 11
Following Li Ming's injuries after his fight with Kitten, Hua assessed his condition and prepared medicinal soup for his recovery. The soup's effects were unusual because Hua was still affected by Divine Sound Surgery, leaving Li Ming and Su wary of her behavior. 15
Afterward, Hua spent a month teaching Li Ming additional Inch Punch techniques while he recovered and prepared for further treatment. 17
Appearance
Hua is portrayed as a slender young woman with a low ponytail and slightly curled bangs partly covered by a beret. 8
- Wears a light-colored short shirt and white hot pants during her stay at the convent. 8
- Uses a training uniform for morning martial-arts practice. 10
- Her appearance can seem gentle or charming, contrasting sharply with Li Ming's fear of her combat ability. 8
Personality
Hua is disciplined, direct, and uncompromising about martial-arts practice. She considers training a daily obligation and readily wakes Li Ming for missed sessions, even when he tries to avoid them. 6 10
Despite her intimidating manner, Hua is observant and protective. She stopped her fight with Li Ming after sensing his injuries, helped care for the convent children, and organized the Golden Courtyard residents when their mistakes created problems. 7 11
She can also be practical and patient in domestic matters: she taught Li Ming to prepare pumpkin porridge, handled cooking when he was inexperienced, and took responsibility for filling the dangerous courtyard pit. 8 10
