Background

Li Ming is a transmigrator who was kicked out of the Elysian Realm by Ai Yi and arrived in Schicksal with no money or phone. Before reaching the airport where he first appears, he had already undergone a month of intensive Elysian Realm training under Hua, Sakura, and Vill-V. 1

His body originates from Huodou County in Qinghe City. His parents had died, leaving him to be raised by his grandfather, a martial-arts master who trained the village children and made Li Ming the senior disciple of his generation. Li Ming's memories of his parents are fragmented, but he recalls being taught to study and practice martial arts from an early age. 4 18

First Herrscher Incident

At the airport, Li Ming encountered Raiden Mei and Raiden Ryoma before intercepting a blue-haired manifestation of the First Herrscher that was pursuing Mei. He suppressed the Honkai Energy eroding his hand, preventing himself from immediately becoming a Mantis. 1

Working with Ryoma, Li Ming acquired Moon God's Protection and used its attack alongside Inch Punch Extreme: Thunderclap to destroy a pseudo black hole's core. Ryoma subsequently hired him as Yae's bodyguard and sought treatment for his Honkai erosion. 2 4 5

Elysian Realm Training

Li Ming repeatedly enters the Elysian Realm through his system. There, he assists Apponia's orphanage, learns sewing from Apponia, trains with Hua, spars with Sakura, and performs tasks for Mobius and Vill-V. 1 6 7 8

His commissions earn him the Precept and Annihilation Imprints. Although the Precept offers some protection, Su warns that it cannot completely solve Li Ming's erosion; Mobius and Su instead consider a super-mutation surgery that requires rare materials. 7 17

Changming Operation and Armor Creation

During the HK and Chiyou organizations' assault, Li Ming fights Zhu Yan, Vermillion Bird, and Bixi mechs around Changming City's airport. He uses a Titan X, standard Schicksal armor, Moon God's Protection, and his martial arts to support Valkyrie teams and destroy multiple hostile mechs. 19 20 21 22 23 24

After recovering from severe burns and exhaustion, Li Ming uses battlefield materials, Fluid Alloy, Phase Transfer Mirrors, Micro Reactors, Imaginary Cores, and a Reconstruction Mold to forge his first personal armor: Candlelight Armor: First Light. 24

California and the Code??? I Clone

Li Ming later studies at the California Institute of Technology, where he meets Himeko and Welt Yang. A stronger First Herrscher-related entity, the [Code??? I Clone], attacks civilians and transforms many of them into Mantis. Li Ming battles it using Candlelight Armor and his activated Imprints, but is nearly killed when the clone's gravity field drains his HP and SP. 25 27 30 31 32

Following the clone's destruction, Li Ming experiences a dream confrontation with an exact replica of himself. The replica knows many of his techniques, taunts him over abandonment, and hints at martial arts Li Ming has not fully mastered. The encounter yields enough fragments to promote Candlelight Armor to A-rank. 35 36

Alahato Service

Welt Yang later presents Li Ming with footage of his unexplained Honkai-influenced activities and recruits him into Alahato in exchange for treatment and resources. Welt and Tesla administer an experimental inhibitor, though its side effects alter Li Ming's appearance and leave his condition uncertain. 42 43 45

After several months of missions, Li Ming becomes increasingly detached and manages recurring headaches with sedatives. In Jackson, Mississippi, he single-handedly destroys the remaining H&K branch forces, cementing his public image as the Flame Demon. 48

Appearance

Li Ming is 181 cm tall and weighs 65 kg. He has dark-red bangs, and his eyes reflect moonlight when he is seen alone on a rooftop. 25 50

Li Ming is adaptable under pressure. Despite arriving in a world he does not understand, facing Honkai erosion, and confronting opponents far beyond his expected level, he repeatedly chooses to intervene when civilians or allies are endangered. 1 19 21

He is practical and quick-thinking in battle, studying enemy weaknesses, using terrain and mobility, and coordinating with combat teams rather than relying solely on brute force. 20 21 24

Li Ming also has a playful, irreverent inner monologue and frequently uses humor to cope with danger or confusion. His doubts about his identity, the system, his family history, and the replicas of himself become increasingly serious after the Code??? I Clone incidents. 1 25 35 36

Cunxin Fist Technique

An ancient Schicksal martial art taught to Li Ming by Hua. Its stances strengthen the body and improve physical fitness; at high mastery, it is described as capable of extraordinary destructive force. Its spoken forms also seem to have a hypnotic effect on Li Ming. 4
