"What exactly happened to Yae Sakura for her to become like that when she was at St. Freya...?"
Theresa murmured to herself as she watched Yae Sakura's retreating back.
Theresa thought of Yae Rin.
The girl who was about to become a sacrifice offered to the gods.
So... Theresa wanted to talk to her.
She wanted to see whether she could learn any useful information from speaking with her.
With that thought in mind, Theresa entered Yae Shrine again and quietly made her way toward Yae Rin's room.
She had only just reached the door when she heard the two sisters, Yae Sakura and Yae Rin, talking inside.
"Rin, it's time to take your medicine."
Yae Sakura's voice came from inside the room. "I'll feed you."
"No, Sister, you should get some proper rest. Rin can take medicine by herself. You don't have to trouble yourself to feed me every time." Rin's voice rang out from the room, followed immediately by the sound of something being knocked over.
"Ah!!"
Yae Rin sounded flustered. "S-Sorry, Sister... the medicine you worked so hard to brew..."
"It's all right. I gathered plenty of herbs near the village today. I'll just brew another bowl." Yae Sakura comforted Rin, and the sounds of picking up a bowl and wiping things down came from the room.
"Sister."
Rin said, "I make you brew medicine for me every day. I'm really sorry for making you work so hard."
"It's fine. As long as you can get better sooner, Rin, there's nothing Sister wouldn't do."
That was what Yae Sakura told Rin.
"Rin, I'm going to brew your medicine now."
Yae Sakura's hurried footsteps sounded from inside the room, making Theresa quickly step aside and hide against the wall.
