Kalliphenni wandered through the farmland with a sigh. She had not seen her sister in nearly half a month, and it had begun to give her the dreadful feeling that she might never see Perturabo again. In the end, she voiced her doubts to Mordred.
In truth, however, Mordred was not listening at all. His attention was entirely fixed on the pineapples around them, which looked delicious. Some Atlas personnel had already been unable to restrain their appetites and started eating them raw.
"Little Finni, listen to yourself. You make it sound like I'm ruining your family relationships. I'm obviously here to become part of this family. Nothing matters more than living a good life together."

She still nodded with feigned composure, then snatched away the pineapple Mordred had already eaten halfway through and thoughtfully wiped his mouth for him. "Your Highness, it isn't ripe yet. It's very sour at this stage. Why are you acting like a child?"
Kalliphenni nodded. Even by Mordred's standards of taste, this pineapple was far too sour and astringent, to the point that his tongue had gone a little numb. He could only wipe his mouth reluctantly.
