The World Gate of this universe had been set up in a deserted region far from all major galaxies. It operated quietly in the darkness of the universe's deepest reaches, with no massive celestial bodies or anything else nearby that could serve as a gravitational beacon. To many civilizations, even flying a ship of their own manufacture from their home galaxy to the World Gate was a difficult technological challenge—therefore, whether a civilization could reach the World Gate through its own strength was also a test, one that verified whether it was prepared to face the challenges of the multiverse era.
Of course, individuals who had obtained special passage permits were not subject to this restriction.
When the darkness outside the ship receded completely and the distant starlight once again shone brilliantly against the cosmic backdrop, everyone on the bridge was drawn to the magnificent structure at the center of the holographic projection. It was a space facility so enormous that its exact dimensions were impossible to determine, composed of countless curved components gleaming with silvery-white light. Those components shimmered with metallic and crystalline lusters, forming two concentric rings, one large and one small. Each section of the gate was connected to the next by brilliant blue streams of light, making the entire gate seem immersed in an endless Lightning Storm. Beyond the two intricately structured rings were countless towers, ports, and other space structures whose names no one could even identify. Each of these buildings was many times larger than Kuiper Station, yet clinging around the World Gate, they looked as inconspicuous as a pile of toy blocks. Between the double rings flickered a faint, mysterious blue light. Without a doubt, that veil of light was what Giant Turtle Rock Platform would soon pass through.
