Who told the husky to speak without thinking and immediately question the Goddess's intelligence? Although Hao Ren also thought the girl had a point.
But whether there was something wrong with Raven 12345's setup or the situation had truly become more complicated than expected, the crucial crystal core was already lost. And the loss of the core was only secondary. More importantly, they had uncovered an extremely vital clue:

"Can you make another core?" Hao Ren looked at Raven 12345 expectantly. From her words, he had gathered that Goddess Sister had only spent two hours making the thing. It didn't seem particularly complicated.
Unexpectedly, Raven 12345 shook her head. "There's only one core."
"You can't make a new one?" Hao Ren was rather surprised. "Didn't you say it only took two hours to make that thing?"
"The processing was simple, but there was only one batch of raw material." Raven 12345 glanced sideways at Hao Ren. "Do you know what that crystal was made from?"
Hao Ren shook his head.
"It was something that fell out of the Rift Nebula." Raven 12345 raised a hand and pointed at the swirling chaotic void in space. "More than two thousand years ago, the Wall of Reality suffered a massive collapse here. The entire star system was torn to pieces, and huge quantities of material from the Dream Plane gushed out of the rift like a fountain. Almost all of that material was annihilated into primordial energy by the opposing laws, but one thing survived: a huge crystal.
