Hao Ren froze for a moment before realizing that he had been resting his head on Lily's legs. He was immediately surprised, because in his mind, such ladylike behavior had absolutely nothing to do with this Husky spirit. Lily's usual style should have been waving a brick around beside his head while taking aim...
"What happened to me..." Hao Ren casually pushed Lily's tail aside and sat up, supporting his upper body. "What's going on up there?"
"Landlord, you passed out!" Lily wagged her tail excitedly. She had no idea what there was to be excited about, but she was always happy. "Then the giant shattered into pieces, and lots of monsters crawled out of its corpse again. When Big Dog saw that things were about to get out of control, she just went all out and summoned the moon... Oh, Big Dog, you're back?"
Hao Ren turned his head and saw Vivian emerge from a swarm of bats. The Vampire girl planted her hands on her hips and stared at the Husky spirit. "Big Dog, what are you doing? Didn't I tell you to let Hao Ren rest properly?"
"But the Landlord woke up!" Lily wagged her tail smugly. "I told you, a beautiful girl's lap pillow is the most effective—and adding a beautiful girl's tail doubles the effect."
Hao Ren was instantly mortified. He coughed twice. "Ahem, normal beautiful girls don't grow tails..."
Vivian stepped forward and shooed Lily aside, looking at Hao Ren's face with concern. "How are you feeling? What happened just now? You were still in a deep-link state after Hercules died. The Data Terminal said that your mind was connected to an unknown target."
Hao Ren recalled the "illusion" he had just experienced.
The scene in the illusion was still fresh in his memory.
