For Lily of this spacetime, the Rune of Leta was still something completely unfamiliar—in fact, throughout her life so far, she had never encountered any supernatural phenomena besides herself. Magic, curses, runes... Every one of these things made her feel as though her horizons had been broadened. So when Hao Ren placed his hand on the Rune of Leta, the "werewolf girl" immediately leaned over, eyes wide as she carefully watched for any changes in the symbols.
The Rune of Leta immediately twisted when Hao Ren's fingers touched it, as though an animal instinctively recoiled upon encountering blazing flames. The dark-red traces of blood quickly moved across the stone and ice, growing fainter. Finally, a series of sharp crackling sounds rang out, and pungent black smoke rose from the runes. These words, which contained tremendous power, burned away and vanished without a sound.
Lily was dumbstruck, her face filled with amazement.
But the destruction of the runes on the stone wall was only the beginning. As the part that was probably a node of the magic array was "erased" by Hao Ren's magic immunity, a current of air suddenly filled the small cavern. It spun rapidly, whipping up the surrounding snow and ice fragments, and soon formed a freezing whirlwind that made it nearly impossible to open one's eyes. With the appearance of the whirlwind, countless glowing red lines and characters emerged from the dark stone, followed by phantoms and mist filling the spaces between them. The entire cavern seemed to expand countless times over. All kinds of bizarre images spun and trembled wildly around Hao Ren and Lily, mixed with some sort of ghostly, shrill howls.
