The Heart of God had a very simple function. The Ancestor Civilization had created it solely to serve as the last line of security for the universe: at the moment when the Annihilation Power was about to destroy all order, the Heart of God would activate and reboot the entire world.
But to achieve that simple function, they had put an extraordinary amount of effort into the Heart of God.
Resetting the world—even with only immature, rudimentary technology—required a profound understanding and mastery of the laws of the universe, the ability to interfere with the universe's underlying data, and, most importantly, an utterly terrifying level of computational power.
A large portion of the Heart of God's modules supported that computational power. Some of its remaining modules were used to interfere with the underlying laws, while others were remnants of interfaces left behind for connecting to other devices.
"I obtained the detailed parameters from the Command Staff. I still can't understand many of them, but the computational capacity is crystal clear. The Heart of God can fully meet the Creation Engine's requirements." As he watched the chunks of Earth's core around the Heart of God being rapidly "salvaged" by the traction equipment, Hao Ren turned to Lia. "Of course, the hardware meets the standard, but they're products of two different technology trees. We'll still need to make some minor adjustments to the drivers and language conversion. Also, the Heart of God wasn't designed to provide computational support for other devices, so you'll have to work on that part."
"Having hardware that meets the standard is more than enough!" Lia's face was already filled with delight. "I already have the software ready. Now that we also have the codebook, modifying it won't take much time—but its size clearly doesn't match the dimensions
