The search party entered the deepest part of the Sacred Mountain, and the Wolf Riders leading the way discovered that they were stepping into a completely unfamiliar place.

Deep within their homeland, there was actually such a strange world.

Hao Ren followed behind the silent Uruk. The dozen or so accompanying knights and priests searched and kept watch along both sides of the road, every nerve taut. They had not encountered any enemies yet, though.

"The other Wolf Riders have sent word too," Uruk suddenly muttered, his ears twitching slightly in the air. The Werewolves' special communication technique allowed them to stay in contact with one another in the mountain. "Several groups are making their way toward this valley. They all say they don't remember this mountain path."

The situation was just as Hao Ren had guessed. The brain monster had used some kind of mental interference or perception-distorting ability to conceal this valley. To any thinking creature, it was equivalent to having a section of the mountain dug out of thin air—and those affected by the interference were completely unaware of it. No one could say when the interference had begun, but one fact was deeply unsettling: from the time the Werewolves migrated to the Sacred Mountain until now, this valley had never appeared on any of their maps.

One of the knights failed to understand for a moment and casually muttered, "By the way, why did we suddenly discover this valley this time?"

Uruk glanced at him. "Because of the protective crystal. This is the first time anyone has reached this place while fully conscious."

As they walked, Lily suddenly pointed ahead and shouted, "There's something up ahead!"

Hao Ren looked in the direction Lily was pointing and saw half a stone pillar protruding from the snow beside
