The spaceship had been docked at the Crystal Core Research Station for several days. During that time, the others at home had gradually returned to Earth. There was nothing much for them to do here, so they had gone back to attend to their own work and lives. In the end, only Hao Ren, Vivian, Lily, and Doudou remained. They had nothing much to do back home either, so they simply stayed here to look after the station's research facilities and await the results of Zom and Muru's first phase.
On the sixth day, Hao Ren arrived at the station's central hall early in the morning. There, he saw Muru chatting with Zom. Muru had now received permission to move about more freely. Apart from a few classified areas inside the station, he could go almost anywhere. Over the past few days, whenever he had free time, he had basically come here to chat with Zom.
To Hao Ren's surprise, Vivian and Lily were here as well. The two of them stood beside Crystal Peak Mountain, with a neatly arranged set of large containers in front of them that looked like distillation vessels. The containers seemed to have been moved from some laboratory, while several Autonomous Mechanical Units flew around nearby, helping operate them. Vivian occasionally turned her head and exchanged a few words with Crystal Peak Mountain, then focused on observing the reactions inside the containers, looking completely immersed in research.
"Yo!" Hao Ren went over to greet them. Doudou also raised his head from Hao Ren's shoulder, waving his little arms and shouting, "Yo! Yo!"
Hao Ren held Doudou steady to keep the little fellow from falling, then looked at Vivian. "What are you doing so early in the morning?"
