Within that hazy purple-red cloud, fleeting pillars of light and bright rifts were constantly born. Along the edge of this cosmic rift, which stretched 7.7 light-years across, one of the few star systems there now had a new member. Purgatory Planet revolved along the edge of Rift Nebula like a beautiful, lustrous white snowball, becoming the only scenery in this desolate region. The brilliant light of the new star shone upon the planet's white "snowball" surface, spreading great swaths of golden radiance across its smooth cloud tops.
Giant Turtle Rock Platform arrived at the upper cloud layer beneath that brilliant golden sunlight. The calibration equipment they had left behind before departing last time was still operating above the clouds, constantly monitoring the planet's condition as temporary observation satellites. Hao Ren had Nolan hover less than a few dozen meters from the cloud tops, then first connected to the monitoring equipment. The Data Terminal reported, "The data is normal.
