Hao Ren looked up at the enormous machine before him—though he had no idea whether to call it a machine or a building, or, more extravagantly, an artificial mountain. It was truly massive. The warped earth of the city inside the ship had closed into an ellipsoidal shell, and this machine had been installed at the far end of that space, standing perpendicular to every building in the city. Its main body was a gigantic cylinder several kilometers high, cast from black steel. Huge heat-dissipation grilles and various faintly glowing windows could be seen across its surface. Around the main body were a series of smaller cylindrical structures. At the top of every cylinder, whether part of the main body or an auxiliary facility, there was a ring of openings resembling exhaust vents. Faint red light glowed from within them, as if a trace of energy still remained. As Lily had said, the entire facility had clearly shut down, since most of its external lights had gone out and several nearby auxiliary buildings were pitch-black. Yet some energy was still radiating from within this behemoth, suggesting that it might still be possible to start it up.

"The energy flow of this facility is separate from the ship's propulsion power. It should be dedicated to supplying energy to the city inside the ship—in simple terms, it's the generator for the life-support system." The Data Terminal briefly sensed the energy flow around the enormous structure. "A very clever design. This ship has multiple isolated power and control centers. The life-support system and the engine group don't affect each other. No wonder the city inside has already died while the ship's navigation and propulsion systems are still operating."

"Unmanned, huh..." Hao Ren muttered, casually opening communications with Giant Turtle Rock Platform. "Nolan, how's
