Background / History

Tang San held the Sea God and Asura God divinities and regarded the God of Destruction as the principal obstacle to his control of the God Realm. After the Gods of Goodness and Evil left behind the key to the God Realm’s hub, Tang San began plotting to remove Destruction and consolidate authority for himself 8.

He detected a once-in-ten-thousand-years “child of destiny” on the Douluo Plane and planned to send his daughter, Tang Wutong (“Little Seven”), into the lower realm to form a bond with that person. His stated objective was to make the rising star his son-in-law and bind both the new talent and an old ally to his side 8.

Tang San repeatedly interfered in the Douluo Plane through divine projections and Divine Sense. He intervened at Sea God Lake to protect Tang Wutong from Ma Xiaotao’s Phoenix Evil Fire, despite the God Realm’s restrictions on gods acting in lower realms 83. He also used divine power to influence Tang Wutong directly, freezing her in place while preparing to use her as the “bait” for his larger plan 69.

To strengthen himself, Tang San drew faith from Sea Soul Beasts and seized control of the Douluo Plane’s ocean. The God of Destruction forced him to sever this connection after judging that it threatened the plane’s balance 244 245. Tang San later began drawing the Abyssal Plane toward the Douluo Plane, intending to exploit the resulting disaster, gain faith as a savior, and restore his influence over the continent 342.

His manipulation of Tang Wutong was exposed after her damaged soul drew the God of Destruction’s attention. Xu Tianxi revealed Tang San’s schemes, and Tang San’s lower-realm Divine Sense was destroyed by Xu Tianxi using the Destruction God King’s mark and the Purple Imperial Dragon Sword 391.

Tang San and Xiao Wu were later defeated in the Sea God Temple by the God of Destruction. Tang San was captured and confined after the other gods learned that he had torn apart Tang Wutong’s soul 393 394. While weakened and sealed, he continued seeking recovery through schemes involving other gods, descendants’ blood, and the absorption of divine power 493 511.

In the Forbidden God Land, Tang San activated Devouring Golden Silk against gathered True Gods, attempting to drain their power and recover his strength. Xu Tianxi revealed that the victims were divine-power clones and used the trap to expose Tang San’s intentions 524. Xu Tianxi subsequently defeated Tang San, seized the Sea God Trident and Asura Divine Sword, absorbed his Asura Divinity, and killed him 525. Tang San’s surviving remnant soul was captured and driven into despair after learning that the Mysterious Heaven Skill had been revised and distributed across the Douluo Plane 526.

Tang San is described with long water-blue hair in his God Realm appearance. When intervening through a trident mark, he manifests as a faint water-blue male projection; in Asura-oriented combat, his power is associated with blood-red killing intent and sword qi 8 83 394.

Personality

Tang San presents himself as responsible, righteous, and uniquely qualified to lead the God Realm. He believes that his own choices are inherently correct, while those who oppose him are wrong or evil 245.

His actions are consistently driven by control, self-preservation, and the pursuit of faith and power. He treats the Douluo Plane as territory under his ownership, attempts to turn people—including his daughter—into pieces of a larger plan, and is willing to engineer disasters before appearing as a savior 8 342 388.

Even after exposure and defeat, Tang San refuses to concede moral fault. He insists that he acted for Tang Wutong’s interests and remains resentful toward Xu Tianxi, the God of Destruction, and those who resisted his plans 391 525.

Abyssal Plane Scheme

Tang San deliberately draws the Abyssal Plane toward the Douluo Plane, intending to exploit the invasion for faith and political control 342. His plan is undermined as his followers are defeated and his treatment of Tang Wutong becomes known 388 391.

Exposure and Imprisonment

Xu Tianxi exposes Tang San’s lower-realm schemes to the God of Destruction. Tang San’s Divine Sense is destroyed, and Tang San himself is defeated and confined in the God Realm 391 394.
