Background

Jiang Ming originated from the Upper Realm, though neither Master Cangming nor Jiang Fan knew her exact identity. Cangming once saved her from a demonic beast and later kept her within the Water Mansion at Yunmeng Great Swamp, where she became one of the important figures guarding Mo Lou. 1124 1193

After Cangming dissipated and Cangming Island was ruined, she was freed from the Water Mansion. Jiang Fan accepted her as his younger sister, gave her the surname Jiang, and named her Jiang Ming. She mourned Cangming despite often calling him a “stinky old man,” remembering that he had tolerated her mischief and saved her life. 1124

She subsequently lived with Jiang Fan at Xiliu Manor in Yunlan City. Over more than two years, she grew from an isolated child into a confident, mischievous, and well-liked resident; the guards and servants addressed her as “Miss.” 1129

Appearance

In human form, Jiang Ming initially appeared as a small girl. Following periods of sleep and bloodline growth, she became noticeably taller and more mature, eventually resembling an eleven- or twelve-year-old maiden. 1129 1192 1193

  • Often wears pale or goose-yellow clothing. 1133 1192
  • Has large, expressive eyes and a childlike manner. 1145
  • Her eyes can flicker with golden light when resisting mental interference or drawing on her bloodline. 1278
  • Her true form is a colossal beast with a dragon-like head, tiger-like body, scales, and fleshy wings; later accounts describe its scales as pale gold. 1153 1154 1201

Personality

Jiang Ming is curious, playful, and strongly motivated by food. She eagerly explores unfamiliar places, becomes upset when excluded from Jiang Fan’s outings, and can be distracted even during serious events by rare delicacies. 1129 1145 1256

She is deeply attached to Jiang Fan and views him as both family and protector. In turn, she wants to grow strong enough to help him. When he is threatened, her normally childlike demeanor gives way to fierce instinctive protectiveness. 1153 1193 1306

Despite her destructive potential, she shows compassion toward vulnerable people and remains emotionally affected by those who treated her kindly, particularly Master Cangming. 1124 1286

Abilities & Skills

True Form Transformation

Jiang Ming can transform into an enormous demonic beast whose physical power surpasses ordinary Emperor Realm cultivators.

  • Defeated Guan Du with a roar and sent him into a mountain wall. 1153
  • Crushed Yuanchu Holy Master and Holy Master Tianqing with a stomp. 1153
  • Tore apart Xuan Wuji’s Emperor Realm domain and severely wounded him with a claw strike. 1154
  • Her true form could withstand techniques used by a Void Realm expert. 1201
  • Transformation may leave her exhausted and asleep afterward. 1154 1192
  • She can lose rationality while transformed, nearly attacking Zixiao Zhenren until Jiang Fan reminded her of their relationship. 1154 1201

Royal Bloodline Pressure

Her bloodline exerts an instinctive suppressive effect on many demonic beasts.

  • A Void Realm Black-Winged Bat fled immediately when it sensed her pressure. 1277
  • The pressure did not affect the Soul-Eating Beast of Ghost Cry Valley. 1278
  • Daoist Xuanji identified her bloodline as standing at the pinnacle of the Demon Race and linked it to the Heavenly Demon Imperial Court. 1249

Devouring Divine Ability

Jiang Ming can consume demonic beasts to strengthen herself.

  • Her teeth shattered scales capable of resisting ordinary Emperor Realm attacks. 1193
  • She devoured an entire high-realm demonic beast, including its bones, without discomfort. 1193
  • Consumption can stimulate physical maturation, bloodline awakening, and inherited memories. 1193
  • She later identified devouring demonic beasts to gain strength as a bloodline-bestowed divine ability. 1306

Inherited Memories and Enhanced Senses

Her awakening bloodline grants her partial memories and heightened perception.

  • After awakening from a long sleep, she reported being able to hear and see farther than before. 1192
  • After consuming a high-realm beast, she recalled fragmented visions of immense mountains and rivers from the Upper Realm. 1193
  • The memories are incomplete and difficult for her to retain. 1193

Relationships

  • Jiang Fan — Adoptive elder brother and primary guardian. He named her, protects her identity, feeds and guides her, and intends to return her to her clan when he is strong enough. Jiang Ming is fiercely protective of him in return. 1124 1153 1202 1246
  • Master Cangming — Former savior and guardian. He rescued her in the Upper Realm, kept her in the Water Mansion, and treated her indulgently despite her confinement. 1124
  • Zixiao Zhenren — Jiang Fan’s master, whom Jiang Ming also calls “Master.” He accepted her as part of Zixiao Hall’s lineage. 1130
  • Lin Qingxue — Treated Jiang Ming kindly as a little sister after Cangming Island’s destruction. 1127
  • Yuan Pu — Played with Jiang Ming after her awakening, though he remained visibly nervous because of her previous battle against the Holy Masters. 1192
  • Daoist Xuanji — Warned Jiang Fan that Jiang Ming’s bloodline could place her at the center of dangerous power struggles within the Great Yan Immortal Dynasty and the Heavenly Demon Imperial Court. 1249
